Dinesh...
Maybe in the same style as the Batman animated movies, Under the Red Hood, Killing Joke... serious, but not "live action".
Sounds like X-O movie(s) might be digital/animation with major directors?said "live action" and "movies" separately... what could that mean? Big plans for X-O

I took the "live action" as being the Ninjak project.greg wrote:Dinesh...Sounds like X-O movie(s) might be digital/animation with major directors?said "live action" and "movies" separately... what could that mean? Big plans for X-O

You know what I think? I think that the X-O Manowar movie project has an A-List director unofficially committed.
Watch the video and listen again to Dinesh.
It's not so much about what he says, as it is what he can't say. Which (to me in my profession) indicates that the director/production team are under contract with a larger rival studio at the moment (Disney? Fox? Warner Brothers?) and that Valiant cannot "legally" announce their involvement until such time as the terms of that present contract is complete. If that makes sense.
We know two things;
1.) That directors who are not currently involved in major projects or under contract would likely be announced right away since both Valiant and any production studio would love to create movie buzz early.
2.) That directors who ARE currently involved in major projects or under contract would likely NOT be announced right away since both Valiant and any production studio would love to avoid any potential lawsuits or possibly losing the director.
So my bet is that it 100% IS someone currently working with Fox, Disney, or Warner Brothers presently on Marvel or DC projects.
Which (no kidding) would be completely awesome and game changing.

"Directors" narrows it down a bit... some sites are staring to speculate who it could mean.

I would say not,they are busy with the two Avengers movies till 2019..That would be a very involving work as it is literally two of the biggest franchise movies ever..DirtbagSailor wrote:Highly likely. My money is on yes.onearmedwampa3000 wrote:Heard it was the Russo Brothers
So unless the X-O is being made in 2020,i don't see that working out..
I would think it would most probably the Wachowskis..They don't seem to be doing much these days..Plus they still have some geek cred with Matrix..They like the Sci-Fi genre as well..

You can speculate all you want, but it's the Russo's. We won't see the Harbinger movie until at least 2018. The 2017 Bloodshot movie news was a leak as part of the SONY hacks last year, and Valiant did the best they could do with that mess. It was never an official announcement. My guess is XO won't come until the Harbinger Wars series is rolling, and the Russos finish at Marvel.Manaf82 wrote:I would say not,they are busy with the two Avengers movies till 2019..That would be a very involving work as it is literally two of the biggest franchise movies ever..DirtbagSailor wrote:Highly likely. Wampa's got a good point, at least regarding the timeline. Even if the Russos are tied to another Avengers sequel (formerly Infinity War Part 2) they'll be done by 2019. Meanwhile, even if Valiant manages to work out two movies a year so suddenly they still won't be through Harbinger Wars until at least 2020.
The Wachowskis are nowadays a major cause of concern for me. Sure, they still have their "geek cred", but Jupiter: Ascending shattered any trust they could've had in their competence. If Valiant's willing to roll those dice, they better have a way to really keep their worse impulses in check.Manaf82 wrote:Plus [the Wachowskis] still have some geek cred with Matrix

The Wachowskis haven't made a good movie since the first Matrix. At the moment they're too concerned with their public image. That aside, I heard Russos from a Valiant source.Watchtower wrote:Wampa's got a good point, at least regarding the timeline.
