When Did Jim Shooter Leave Valiant?

Post by TheFerg714 »

Just curious. I've heard the term "Pre-Unity" thrown around a lot, which makes me think that he left soon after Unity. :? Can anyone fill me in on a little Valiant history 101?

That's a 3-part article, it should answer your question.

Short answer... about the time Rai #0 (dated Nov. 1992) was being written. Before Shadowman #8 (dated Dec. 1992). The ones who kicked Jim Shooter out of VALIANT (all caps when Jim was there) decided Master Darque was tall, evil, with a ponytail.

Was Master Darque a source of contention, like artistic freedom/direction?
