THATS where my X-O 1/2 Gold that I never go went to.

The X-O 1/2 Golds were sent out at random. It was not ever advertised that there was going to be a variant.

Actually they were advertised. In order to get the gold version you had to send away for it along with your order for a new subscription to Wizard magazine.

On the little send-away form there were two different boxes that you could check. One for the normal one and one for the gold variant and a years subscription. And me, being the big dork, bought two copies of that magazine and sent away for both.
