How should I observe Canadian Thanksgiving day? Perhaps by eating poutine and trying to copy a double double?

Should I wear my Calgary Hitmen hockey jersey? And get my wife to wear her Nashville Predators jersey?

I shared that presentation with my students yesterday. I think the Canadians are thankful Columbus only went to the Bahamas.

I don't know why we Americans celebrate "Columbus" day, anyway. He didn't find the mainland, Amerigo Vespucci did.

Columbus was a hack.

And there were a few people from Asia that found it thousands of years before him.

Don't forget the Vikings too... but we took the name from Amerigo Vespucci.

Zheng He might have found South America but there were Viking colonies along the coast of a newly found land centuries before he was bourne.

Spent mine camping (yes the tent kind not the Rv kind) with a two other families. We cooked our turkey over an open fire rotating every 30 minutes or when we finished a beer. Between three families we had quite a Thanksgiving spread and then we hit the booze - a few hangovers on Mon.

Canadian Thanksgiving? :?

That can't be a real holiday!

And this Columbus Day thing is odd. The trash and recycle men showed up, but no mail.
