oh no! i was derailing the thread. my fault. not that that's a bad thing on ValiantFans. seems to happen everydayBone-A-Fach-ee wrote:I'm aware it's not popular to stick up for Dunlow, but I don't think he was derailing the thread. i'm not a fan of digi books in general tho. so don't let this derail the thread. I think this humble bundle sight is great.
And I think you'll find that in the near future, it's going to happen even more, especially with DRM free books looking like they're becoming the norm. You'll be able to read them anywhere.

Not even 24 hours into this 14 day promotion, and already over 4,300 purchases Nice to see that people recognize the great value that this represents and that they want to both experience Valiant again in a digital format while helping support Valiant in this undertaking

More importantly is that the average keeps rising. I'm sure some of that is the lure of the $15 tier, so I hope we can get it over a $15 average. I don't think I've ever seen that happen with a Humble Bundle, but I've never seen the average rise so quickly on one.brucehartshorn wrote:Not even 24 hours into this 14 day promotion, and already over 4,300 purchases Nice to see that people recognize the great value that this represents and that they want to both experience Valiant again in a digital format while helping support Valiant in this undertaking

This is awesome! I wanted to get the shadowman game on gog but hadn't plus i dont have the last two issues of rai, so I bit the bullet and did $16. Goodcause and cant go wrong for the price!
Probably should have save that money for a bill.. But cmon it's an insanely awesome deal in every way!

Re: Valiant Humble Bundle
I took advantage of this deal and am now trying to figure out how to read these on my ipad. I downloaded the Comic Flow app. Now what to I do?
Sorry for the basic question, but this is my first foray into having digital comic books (I have all VEI books in print).
Thanks for the help

I don't use Comic Flow. In Fact, I use YACReader. But, it's probably the same.wwise03 wrote:I took advantage of this deal and am now trying to figure out how to read these on my ipad. I downloaded the Comic Flow app. Now what to I do?

1) Hook up iPad to computer
2) when iTunes pops up, access your iPad.
3) At the top of the menu, select Apps
4) scroll down to the bottom, you should see ComicFlow, click on it.
5) a window should appear that says "Add".
6) select the content from your hard drive and wait til it downloads
7) go into the app on your iPad and make sure you complete the transfer from the app on the iPad. Could be as simple as a single tap, or having to enter the app somewhere and following instructions there.
This is a basic solution, I hope it at least sort of gets you in the right place! Good luck!

Is this seriously what it takes to read a comic on an Apple device? Geez. I can just download directly from a site and open the file. To add metadata and cool sorting stuff it's a little more complex, but all this just to read it?
I will never understand why people use Apple.
Sorry for the derail. And the beating of a dead horse.
You really can't do it through WiFi?

My bro has a masters in computer science. he's a our go to guy for computers. when i switched to apple (for school) i was really worried about losing that safety net (he doesn't touch macs). How would i be able to fix ALL the problems that come with a computer… i learned quickly that those were only PC problems. 6 yrs of having a mac work flawlessly and effortlessly is why i use apple products.lorddunlow wrote:

This is just the way I do it though. To me, it's the way I learned, and just keep doing it this way. Simple now, second nature. Takes less than 1 minute.

I know what you mean. I tried to read it with an Android Device. Apple seems way much easier IMO.
