Has anyone tried these stories? Are they just prose or fully drawn comics? I know they seem cheap but are they worth money I would rather put towards the more "official" Valiant material.

They're short stories. I read one. It was okay. I don't think the writer understood the rules of the Valuant Universe. I think I'm going to get some more and read them. I think it's fun.

Where do I know the name Robert Rodi from? Didn't he write some Thor books? That one might be pretty good.

I'm a bit biased because Tom King is a friend of mine, but I really like his Harbinger short story. It feels like it can be a part of the Harbinger comic universe. And we see names you recognize. But it a very personal story involving a PRS psiot in hiding, and another guy. I recommend it.

Two more stories added: The Harbinger one that Dan pointed out and a new Archer & Armstrong called Oh, Mummy!

Right now I have this list in alphabetical order. Do you guys think they should be in chronological order in case some stories refer to other ones?

Do you think I should include the cover art?

I haven't tried out any of the stories yet. I'll probably have to give some a try.
I'm not sure if they list an artist credit for the covers or not. I would be curious who did what.

Updated with new story: Harbinger - The Great Destroyer - by Shane Berryhill

Also added pictures, although the Shadowman cover for Follow Me Boy is not what downloaded on my kindle. I'm going to shrink the pictures some so you can see more at once, but not right now.

I will undoubtedly be reading some of these (after I get my submission done), but I have to admit, some of these titles do not make me want to read the story. There also seems to be a big variety in cover art quality, with some of it being done by Valiant's talented group (LaRosa, for instance) and others...not so much. I'm not referring to the personally submitted art, which you can do, but to the samples available for any author to use.

Or, here's a thought: since Valiant and Amazon technically own the rights to use your story and any characters you create, if you upload your own original art for a cover, does that art in turn get put into the "pool" that other authors can choose from? Ballz. I hope not.

I just downloaded XO Naughts & Crosses by Stuart Moore and the Rbert Roddi A&A. Needed something to read in my downtime. I chose those because I knew the writers. I'll be sure to post reviews when I am done.

Has anyone read any of the others? Are any of the other authors well known in the comics world or elsewhere? Those were the only two I recognized.

Rodi is the only name I recognize.

I'll probably check out some of these books, they sound like fun. Strange though, no Bloodshot books yet.......

I've been wondering this myself, as I would like to do some art for the book covers. Without looking into the actual contractual agreements, it does seem as though its going to have a 'stock imagery' kind of clause. I'm not noramlly a fan of that kind of work, but I'd still be interested, just to do some 'official' Valiant art beyond my fan art stuff.

Are these just fan fic? Is it approved by vei?

Anyone know about how long they are? The great destroyer one caught my attention, but if these are just a paragraph tease or something other than a complete story, I'd rather not waste my time or money.

I posed the question in the Questions for Warren thread as to whether any of these are canon. I'm going to guess not, otherwise soliciting people to submit their stories without having access to whatever bible they put together for the new Valiant universe is kind of a waste of time.

Has anyone read any of these?

I'd still like to know how long they are.

I have written a 1500 word story, but not sure if I should wrap it up or develop some more.

Kinsey Mahone should make an appearance, right?

And Dr. Akins or Volsognosz?
