Check out what just arrived in the mail today!!!

No other comic company takes care of its supporters like Valiant Comics.

This is actually the best idea to promote Valiant I have seen done by a member. If Valiant is going to succeed faster, this model is to be followed. Like I said, its genius! If I receive one of these in my pullbox, I would definitely take that offer to try out the next issue.

Thanks man. I've yet to have a board member take me up on the PSD offer, so I'm not sure if I've inspired anyone to do the same.

Really though, if anyone out there is sitting on dozens of doubles, what's the point? Give them to other comic fans and let's hope that our love for Valiant will spread. If it doesn't, we won't have a universe of new comics to read in a few short years.

Carson,

I will be that FIRST board member to take you on that PSD offer. (I am actually inspired to do the same as what you did) :thumb:

I've also participated in several packages ED @ Collector's Paradise has offered and have many doubles that I don't need.

Here are my doubles: (a lucky 13 copies)

X-O Manowar #1 Regular (3 copies)
X-O Manowar #1 Pullbox (5 copies)
Harbinger #1 Regular (1 copy)
Bloodshot #1 Pullbox (3 copies)
Bloodshot #1 Regular (1 copy)

(I would gladly offer all my extra Harbinger #1's if only the 5 regular & 5 pullbox weren't signed by Joshua, Dinesh and Atom! that comes with a COA)

Awesome! I'll be posting some photos when I get these out. I hope other members who participated in Paradise's packages deals that included 10 packs will do the same. Ed offered the 10 packs with several X-O Manowar, Harbinger and Bloodshot packages only.

The books are worth $$ for members to give them freely. The prices of the packages were included with the 10 pack for the deal to work according to Ed.

I wasnt inclined to do this, but was inspired in what you are trying to do to promote Valiant.

The PSDs are already available. It's genius.

AWESOME! I'd be happy to. PM me your email address. Also, tell me your name and the name of our comic shop as you'd like for it to appear and I'll customize the printout and send you a JPG to print.

Glad this is catching on! With fans like us, how can they not succeed?

I would be on board with this, except my LCS are lame and ran me off as a customer. Too busy playing games in the back to be what a LCS should be.

Sorry to hear that. These things do happen, but not all LCS are the same. I've also had some bad experiences with a few LCSs that I no longer give $ due to their business practices. However, some do what they need to do to survive in this economy.

My LCS has some of the friendliest, most approachable staff. They also have some socially inept, unapproachable types. I'd try your LCS on another day, you might find some more engaging staff there.

Did you get my PM about the XO sketch?

I was worried this was going to be the case when I first started buying comics again (upon VEI's relaunch of X-O), but I have been pleasantly surprised. The guy that runs the place (and I assume it is just the one guy, have never seen anyone else working there) is pretty nice and has ordered whatever I put on to my pullbox regardless of whether he buys a copy for the shelf (incl. Man of God & DHP). Still, the store itself is mainly for games (about 75-80% of the floorspace is dedicated to gaming) and just about any time I go to pick up my comics the other customers are clearly there for the games. I can't blame the guy for going after the larger customer base.

I would like to thank Carson for getting me set up with the Valiant Free-View flyer. I gave my LCS (Cup o' Kryptonite in Des Moines) nine issues of VALIANT comics to give out for free with the flyer (the books were 1 - A&A #1, 1 - X-O #1, 2 - Harbinger #1, and 5 - Bloodshot #1 & 2 sets).

The owner is really passionate about comics and refused to just give them out to anybody. Instead he decided to give the free comics to people who would have the potential to start reading each of the valiant series's. Specifically the owner decided to give the books out to people who were already buying at least one VALIANT title or to people who were already buying similar comics. On Wednesday of last week he gave away all of the A&A, X-O, and Harbinger books, as well as a couple of Bloodshot. The owner e-mailed me today and said that because of the 'Free-View" he now has one new person subscribing to A&A, one new person subscribing to Harbinger and one new person subscribing to X-O. THREE NEW PEOPLE - SUCCESS!!!! We are going to try and set it up to do this again with nine more free comics next month.

If I used a LCS, I would consider doing this. But the only comic store near me usually does not give me a very friendly vibe.

Maybe I will give them a 2nd chance.

I was considering doing the free-view as well. I dont have a hoard, but they were having a huge Black Friday sale and I was going to pick up any extra VALIANT issues they had. Unfortunately my trip to the LCS got derailed, but I may try again next VALIANT Wednesday and see if I can't convince the owner to make me a deal on whatever he has left. He's usually pretty good about that. I bought about 2 dozen VH1 issues (including several pre-Unity Magnus, Solar, Rai and Shadowman) for $30 last FCBD.

Go for it man! Buy em all and stuff em in people's boxes. Let me know if you end up going for it and I'll send you a pdf you can print. Just let me know what name and comic shop you'd want to mention on the flyer.
