Bloodshot 2, Harbinger 3 - stocks/variants

Just been to the store and didn't get any pullbox variants, have they stopped now? The store also only had 1 issue of Harbinger, which annoyed my friend as it was reserved for me. Apparently they didn't get sent any more. Is this a widespread issue? And were there variants for these two (I've lost count)?

Pullbox variants are primarily only for issue #1 of each series. X-O #5 is the one exception.

Where did you hear this information from? Reason why I am asking is I ordered the A&A package from CP and the book will take 15 more days to get the A&A 1:100 Variant.

I can confirm that there have been issues at Diamond with A&A #1 and Neal Adams variant. I should have some of mine back by the end of this week, hopefully The rest, in 2 weeks.

I find it hard to believe it was the on-purpose plan to distrubute the same book twice...but stranger things have happened! The logistics of doing it that way are daunting. If you order 150 one week and 150 the second week, when do you get the third?

After the 300th combined copy ships. The variants are a bit more complicated than maybe they should be.

I am pretty positive the issue had to do more with Diamond not understanding the "line wide" concept and pulling variants based on A&A #1 orders. Pretty simple actually.

You're making a lot of sense there, Ed. Considering some of the retail confusion over how this one works, it's not too much of a stretch that Diamond got their wires crossed on it too.

My LCS operator said something almost identical. VEI invented something that Diamond never heard of, and had no idea how to distribute it.

Same here. I seem to be their 'Valiant Guy', so they just assumed I'd want them even though I didn't request them. He had 'em marked at $16 per, I said I wasn't necessarily interested at that price, could he do twelve? He met me halfway at $14 and with the 25% discount they rang up at just over ten bucks.

Glad to have them but tacking an extra $20 onto my weekly bill can't be kept up for long.

My lcs screwed up and ironically the only thing that was in my pullbox was a harby 3 1:20! Had to get my other 7 titles off the shelves! No bloodshot 1:20 but at this point I've stopped caring about variant covers.

Got my regular covers of BS & Harbinger, plus the Zircher variant (love it!), which I had ordered ahead of time. I didn't pre-order the Bloodshot 1:20 as the price at my LCS for the 1:20's has crept up from $10 to $25, forcing me to be more selective now. He had one, but it was sold by the time I got there at 6pm - there were also only 4 copies of the regular BS 2 left on the shelf... Glad I'm not the only Valiant guy in my area!

Oh, and I was a total nerd and tweeted a pic of myself to #walkinwednesday & @ValiantComics even though they weren't running a contest this week...
