If you gave Aric hugs and kisses, would it be XOXO X-O?

Comics 100 most important people of 1991

Post by fryabusa »

The other day I'm in a used book store and a came across an old copy of Comics Interview. I bought it because it listed, in there opinion, the 100 most important people in comics for 1991 and because it was a buck. Anyway I thought I'd share what was said about Jim Shooter and Steve Massarsky.

#71
Jim Shooter & Steve Massarsky
The editoral and marketing team at Valiant. Massarsky "discovered" Cyndi Lauper and managed the Allman Brothers Band. Shooter wrote and edited for Marvel and DC. Valiant publishes primarily licensed properties: Nintendo, wrestling-based comics and old Gold Key characters.

Interesting position to be in....I can only guess that some of the early image crapfest artists :? are in several of those top spots in that year.
