The first seven issues of Seven are set in concrete, with Shooter writing the first two issues and at least plotting the next five. The first issue is due out in July.
Then hopefully, he goes back to writing for Valiant.

A new book about super-powered teens that have to come together and work as a team written by Jim Shooter?

What a lame idea...

“One day I walked in (to the Kabbalah Centre) and I saw Madonna’s book,” Wohl notes. Madonna, the singer/actress, has written several Kabbalah books geared toward small children. “It just hit me. There is such a void for kids seven to seventeen. I’ll do a comic book. It was really like a hit on the head.”

But for those who might think that all they are going to get is a preachy comic book full of mysticism – that’s not that Wohl is after. “We are going to keep it completely universal. No predisposed notions,” says Wohl. To do this Wohl knew she needed a writer of high caliber to join her on the project. “But who is going to do it with me?” she asked herself. “I haven’t talked to anyone (in the industry) in 245 years. Then I thought of one person. Jim Shooter.”
So it's not about superheroes and Kaballah then, just superheroes.
Shooter worked to keep Kabbalah as the foundation but worked hard to go leagues beyond, “Seven represents what Denise wanted but most important it’s great entertainment. The average person can pick this up and think they are reading a good superhero book. It doesn’t preach anything. It’s not a morality play. It’s just a good superhero story.”
So it's about superheroes and Kaballah then.

I am a tad confused...
I always give everything my best – try as hard as I can,” says Shooter. “But this I just got really involved in. [Seven] may be one of the best things I’ve ever written, because it’s based on a philosophy that is rich and deep.
That settles it. not buying this book I am afraid...
VEI - I look forward to you one day publishing MORE than 9-10 books per month

The promotion for this book was on when Brian (chainnball) and I met Mr. Shooter at the NY Comiccon back in Feb. As a matter of fact I think I still have the promo package at home for this they gave us, I guess I can scan it in later on and post it for you guys if you're interested later tonight.

My first comment when seeing the posters was "hmm, kids with powers, seen that before", but I'll give it a read when it comes out.
