Re: Turok handheld game

At one point I could have picked up 30 still in their clear plastic cases, but the guy wanted £5 each and would Not do a deal if I brought them all.
So I walked
Every now and then I would drop him a line, but he never sold.
May see if I can find his number.

Re: Forbidden planet gives valiant 6 months ~ but don't list

A lot of those names sound made up. Except for Wolverhampton - they have a fc there. pretty much every one of those has an FC. (Except Dublin and Belfast) So you have never heard of cambridge. As in cambridge university? Oh well. Cambridge has two fc cambridge city and cambridge united ~ just sayin'

Re: The Variant Madness

Hm, I really have no interest in buying variant covers. I'll pretty much only consider them if the 'regular' cover doesn't interest me (for instance 2013's Bloodshot #7) but even then, I'm so keen to just read the comic that I'll only put a little effort into trying to buy the variant before I give...

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics

When I ship anything that has some medium (and on up) value internationally I have the buyer pay for registered mail. Its expensive (I think it's $11.50). But it gets sent in a "special container" and it is tracked. It keeps me protected as a seller. :thumb: as an international buyer i ex...

Re: Forbidden planet gives valiant 6 months ~ but don't list

So, what if you asked the guy at Forbidden Planet to buy you 10-20 Valiant books... Ask him to sell them to you at store cost (usually half off) and explain that you want him to stuff the boxes of potential new readers. Y'know, I just assumed (when I originally read your thread explaining the idea)...

Re: End of the so-called 'Modern' Age or Dark age of comics?

I prefer the more confusing terms to associate comics to an era so I can confuse and isolate myself socially from the casual collector, or none reader. If I set decade as a term to my collecting habits I would be trying to include people into my hobby, by giving them a chance to understand what I am...

Re: Discuss Hard To Find Or Currently Hot Modern Comics

Does seem high, but print run of first print s 40,000 and issue 7 sold 47,000 AND iis going to reprint.
So without to much focus on reselling, 7000 people do not have the first print of issue 1.
Word is still spreading.
I expect steady sales of 55000 soon. Not many comics can claim that.

I am sure I have seen a website, where you submit the design and the shirt is printed to order and shipped - with % going to designer. I recall a famous rapper? Saga is movin' on up. #1 - $50 #2 - $20 #3 & #4 - $moving toward $10 #5 - $10 - $15 Likely reason? People who read the first trade (which is alot of people) are going back to collect the singles. I expect this to happen for quite a while. Any thoughts what a set of every issue and every printin...

Saga issue 7 47000, walking dead 57000 approx. Not a fan of the walking dead, but love saga. Would not be surprised if saga sales surpass twd. I believe that it will over time. As you mention, the first issues will never be as valuable as TWD #1 just because of the print run, but IMO, Saga has the ...
