Re: "Why can't Superman be black?"

Does this mean that someone can't appreciate another person's racial and cultural makeup? Not at all. But as for relating to them, I mean really identifying with them is a much taller order than relating to someone in your own situation. If I understand what you are saying here, then none of us can...

Re: What comics are you reading now?

Just re-read the Long Halloween. I still don't like it that much. I have a hard time keeping track of all the characters, even though the reintroduce them every time they appear. I can't tell one crime boss from the other, even though the one guy has scratches on his face. I mean, I lose track of wh...

Re: "Why can't Superman be black?"

You guys are all missing the point. There is a very good reason that Superman can't be black. If Kal had been born black, it would have proved that Lara had been unfaithful to Jor El and he would have been angry. His planet was about to blow up and he was still dealing with the fact that everyone th...

Re: Re-reading Sandman.

I read Moore's swampy. Parts were good and some parts were great, but most was just ok and some was drudgery. Just my opinion. I tend to agree. I usually read it feeling like I should be enjoying it more, but many times it was far too wordy. I'd get half-way through a word balloon or a box and forg...

Re: "Unity" #1 Recruits Comics Legend Neal Adams

I think he might have fried his brain...I have no real information about him personally, but much of what I read and hear makes me wonder if he is suffering from the effects of long-term drug use. 100% pure speculation, but it just seems that way.

Well...they are all listed for that price, so I assumed some were selling. There are several 3rd prints that are all listed for $30.

Re: Re-reading Sandman.

Yeah, I just lost interest. I still want to read it all so that I can say that I have, but most of the time I prefer to re-read the good stuff.

I don't want to be disappointed.

It's kind of the same reason I hesitated to finish so much of VH-1.

Re: Re-reading Sandman.

I think Calliope is my absolute favorite. The issue that introduces Death is superb as well. I always loved that issue and not just because it was a "key". It was a beautifully paced story that didn't give itself away even though by it's conclusion you feel like you should have seen it com...

Just having them show up could be so cool as a "tease". When is something gonna happen? Even if nothing does.

Wherever Dr Mirage works they could both work. They should all work at Edgewater.

Off the top of my head: Joker, Catwoman, Two Face, Penguin, Riddler, Ra's al ghul, Clayface, Poison Ivy, Scarecrow, Court of Owls, Bane, Killer Croc, Hush, Strange, Mad Hatter, Dr. Freeze, Man-Bat, Harley Quinn, Talia al Ghul. No contest. Batman has the best rogues gallery. I've never been remotely...

Re: Who is the most tragic superhero in comics?

I'm saying that it's really cruel from the perspective of Matt. Now he's looking at the prospect of losing Foggy, which is pretty much the only remaining constant in his life. But that's simply not true... Tragedy is another constant, like a faithful friend; it;s always there. Glad he's not r...

Re: Which Superhero has the best rogues gallery?

Oh, one more thing, I agree that The Kingpin is a terrific villain, but I count him as Daredevil's foe more than Spidey's.

They just stuck him in Spidey stories because they know how lacking his rogues gallery was.

That would be like saying Batman only has the Joker, surely? First, stop calling me Shirley. Electro, Lizard, Venom, Sandman, Hobgoblin, Kraven, Mysterio, Rhino, Silvermane, Vulture, Shocker, Kingpin are all pretty recognisable, and when going to lesser villains, both Bats and Spidey have the...

Also added pictures, although the Shadowman cover for Follow Me Boy is not what downloaded on my kindle. I'm going to shrink the pictures some so you can see more at once, but not right now.
Berryhill, eh?

Any relation?
