Re: Soon... YOU can PUBLISH your Valiant stories through Ama

I think it's fabulous, as a creator of fan fic myself (have you read my Superman story?) I am going to attempt to do one for sure.

Where to start is the question that first comes to mind.

I didn't see where it said how to submit, was that in the article?

Infinity Gauntlet got me back into comics when it came out. I loved the art and couldn't believe how many heroes were crammed into it!

How are those Thief of Thieves early issues doing?

Re: Comic to Movies

The interesting thing about the "flops" mentioned is that they were still good films. I mean, they weren't horrible. Green Lantern didn't make me cringe (that much) but it was very underwhelming. The other two were the same. "Good" might be too strong...they were "ok". ...

But what are you going to do to prepare yourself for reading those issues?

I read all the way through a few years ago, and Eternal Warrior did not hold up well towards the end. Be brave.

Re: What comics are you reading now?

I didn't find Hush to be that predictable, with the exception of the "childhood friend" of Bruce's that we've never heard of before which is so cliche. The relationship with Catwoman strayed very far from your typical Batman stories, and then the reintroduction of a character which led to ...

Shouldn't the Hulk be higher on the list as well? I would guess second only to Sabretooth, or even a tie with him.

Re: Your Favorite Obscure Characters of all time?

I like Grampa Rai. He was always so grumpy it just cracked me up. Then when he went to kick Rai's butt and failed miserably...ah good times.

Carrie the female Robin in Dark Knight was really good, my favorite Robin. Is she obscure?

Uh...yep, but it didn't look like Jack Kirby designed it at that time, which is why I called it Erica's lost land, meaning the one with all of the stuff that she had built in it. :thumb:

Re: New Trades for $15? Isn't that too much.

For me, it's fine. I have decided to wait from now on, and will only be buying the trades. I waited 20 years for Valiant to return, so I can wait a bit to read the books now. I like the idea of saving a little, and I think today's storytelling is set up better for trades. The old days of reading a m...

The project began as a film, apparently. It still has a very cinematic tone to it. I want to track down the second trade, because it reads far better in print than it does a page at a time online.

Just found Volume 1 at my local library and I was very impressed. Best thing I've read in a long time. It is a webcomic as well, so you can read nearly the entire thing online. If I remember how to post right you will find it here: http://www.remindblog.com/category/comic/" onclick="window...

I like the slight homages to previous covers that they have been doing. Not an exact copy, but enough to show the thought is there.
