Re: Archer & Armstrong #12 Discussion

FVL seems to have finally gotten the voices of the characters to work, I enjoyed the issue, this arc over-all has been a vast improvement. In particular Obie's debate with his future followers.

Infinity #1. Looks good, the pieces are set, and it seems promising. To be fair, AoU started off damned promising too.

Re: Shadowman #9 Discussion

bad, inconsistent art. bad, inconsistent dialogue. bad, incoherent plot with little to no explanation as to how Jack beats Darque, how any of these powers work. How Darque's tree broke on through to New Orleans. Nothing about this issue satisfied me. Some of the art was fantastic, other points were ...

Re: Quantum and Woody #2 Discussion

solid issue. I really appreciate that they acknowledged the "shared universe" since it was little comments in the initial Valiant run, the little tidbits that highlighted the shared universe, that I appreciated about Voyager. 2 issues in and this title is already entered into my top 3 from...

Re: What comics are you reading now?

Uncanny X-Men #9 - I am enjoying the title, it's progressing slowly but organically. Alison Blair: Agent of Shield is an interesting concept, I am not sure how that is going to play out. or even if after this issue. Indestructible Hulk #11 - I really enjoy what Waid is doing on this title, as this ...

Re: Bloodshot #13 discussion

Kara who had acted heroically and unselfishly in the face of tremendous danger up to this point ... ditches the little kids to save her own bacon? Seriously?? Not at all. She thought she was going to reboot bloodshot remotely when his situation looked dire. She didn't realize till she got there tha...

Re: Bloodshot #13 discussion

I never understood why Kara just dropped her life and went along with BS in the first place. For her to say "stop the world, I'm getting off now" isn't that much of a stretch. She's no superhero, she has no powers and frankly she has no obligations to any of those people. BS was heading o...

Re: What comics are you reading now?

Avengers #16 - I'm really enjoying both of Hickman's Avengers books. Nick Spencer taking over while Hickman writes Infinity has flowed very seamlessly - of course Hickman is listed as co-writer. I was glad to see Nightmask and Starbrand show up again. Things really start to feel like they are falli...

Re: Archer & Armstrong #11 Discussion

Also, on another note, anyone else notice Armstrong's eyes go white when he was healing himself? I obviously saw it in issue 4 when his eyes were healing, but only thought that was because it happened to be his eyes that he was healing, not that it happened whenever he used some of his "boon p...

Re: Archer & Armstrong #11 Discussion

Really good issue. I like FVLs plotting, it is big but I am still not a fan of his dialog. Perez art is top notch, I love the Brady Bunch cover. This has been my favorite issue of the series and it is building towards some really big reveals. It's still got a ways to go before it scratches at my fav...

It's not Hulk 181 you want anymore, it's Hulk 271....in fact, I'm thinking of changing my bored name. Rocket Raccoon is wayyyyy more interesting nowadays. :D Seriously, if the Guardians movie hits big next year...my prediction: Rocket's going to be the character people remember. Next thing you know...

Re: X-O Manowar #15 discussion

Thats one of the keys to this arc imo - what is Gilad doing there? I haven't read how his arc ended in A&A so not sure if that transpires directly to his arrival to confront Aric? he is the fist and the steel of the Earth, I'd imagine what Aric is trying to do the Earth is not happy about and s...

1. Loved the art. I'm a stickler for good art, and this was great for this book. 2. I have no problem seeing how these guys will fit into the rest of the VEI. I wonder if he has any creative say in what Marvel does with the character? This is my main question with this. Angela was a favorite of my mine from when I read Spawn. I'm only a couple of issues into Age of Ultron, so I have no idea if she's even similar to her original form. well AoU won't give ...

Yeah, got to the part where the address that question I had. And finally after two years Yorick finally gets laid. To be honest with you, that's the biggest problem I have with the book! Seems unrealistic to me that someone could be so selfish, and not realize what his duty to humankind is. Plus al...
