IIRC all of the Broadway characters are co-owned by Shooter and Random House.

I don't see how most of the Defiant characters could fit in Valiant without destroying both. A few would work like The Good Guys (think Good Guys vs Harbinger) and maybe Shadowman and Dark Dominion. The rest of them like War Dancer, Warriors of Plasm, Dogs of War, and the rest wouldn't work. Broadwa...

No. IF Valiant wants to be different from companies like DC, IDW, and Marvel they should avoid doing variants because quite frankly I would be more likely NOT to buy their books, because I'm sick of going to my LCS and seeing the same issue twice. I tried to collect Transformers when IDW took over ...

Personally, I always thought Don Perlin was an unsung hero in the VH-1 universe. He worked on practically every Valiant title from penciller to editor! Get HIM to do some variant covers or something. If Valiant really wants to be different then shouldn't do any variant covers! Let Marvel, DC, and I...

Another thing to consider is paper stock my old copy of the Harbinger trade paper back is printed on slightly better paper stock (I call it Baxter paper for some weird reason) than most comics being published in single issue form in 90's were. Almost all the hardcovers hell even most of the trades a...

That's in line with regular, non-enhanced covers back in the day. Enhanced covers had a higher cover price. I am almost willing to bet that is a Marvel-intended variant and not a printing error.
Thats what I'm thinking.
Seems to be the case here.

I've seen trades go for under $10 (it's cover price is $20) at few LCS round here but that was a few years ago though.

All ages. I mean Valiant for the most part was pretty much for all ages, sure they had their moments of crude humor that could be a bit more mature (like during Unity when a dino crapped on Armstrong, and Archer had to dig him out of dino crap), but most part they weren't as violent, sexual explicit...

They have to compete with companies like IDW. I'd be perfectly ok with paying $3.99 for a VALIANT comic if they offered the same kind of quality as IDW's comics (I'd be happier if they could offer that kind of quality for $2.50...). The same here. I like the new colors but it's still an issue of mo...

To my knowledge there is no cover stamp on Transformers #1. Anything reguading if it's 1st, 2rd, or 3rd print. That info would be in the indica (the tiny print) on the first or last page. Edit: The only Marvel US variant cover for Transformers that I know of is a deluxe cover cover for Transformers...
