Re: East of West Thread---WOW!!
So I just re-read the entirety of East of West #1-7. This book is even more awesome than I originally thought. Xiaolian and the Rangers are such awesome characters. I can't remember but I don't think they explained yet how she got her new arms and hands. I wonder how she got them? They have not exp...

Re: East of West Thread---WOW!!
I picked up the first trade today. I was bored and wandered through Barnes and Noble and happened to see a copy so I grabbed it. Opened it up tonight and couldn't put it down till I was finished. Pretty *SQUEE* awesome. I love the alternate history stuff (which again reminds me to pick up Pax Roman...

Re: East of West Thread---WOW!!
I just finished #7. Awesome as usual. Some really interesting reveals. The color of the horsemen seems to reflect something. It seems that the "mother" switched horsemen (I'll have to reread to make sure). Also, the three horsemen who are still together have the same three colors represen...

Re: Essential Hard Covers, Graphic Novels, TPBs
A most excellent question. This would be my favorite list of Hardcovers/GNs/TPBs: V for Vendetta Watchmen Captain Britain Omnibus (Alan Moore, hard to find at a reasonable price nowadays) Miracleman (when they re-release it in collected form) Supreme Power hardcover Vol 1 (Straczynski/Frank, as are...

Re: East of West Thread---WOW!!
Jonathan Hickman is the BEST writer in comics right now, PERIOD! Absolutely, positively! :thumb: Fantastic Four / FF Run (graphic novels or a complete Omnibus vol 1,2, only first one is out) I'm a big FF fan and outside of Byrne's run, Hickman's is THE best FF run. Yes, even better than Lee/Kirby. ...

East of West Thread---WOW!!
So I'm a huge Hickman fan and buy everything (or at least try) anything he writes. I finally sat down and read the first six issues of this series and was floored! This is such an incredible book! I thought Hickman's run on FF was magnificent, but this?? There are no words to describe it's greatness...

Re: Are you a Marvel, OR DC fan?
I still prefer Marvel over DC in general, but I loved Geoff Johns Green Lantern run , and the Knightfall and Death of Superman storylines were cool. Too many reboots since then to keep me happy. Johns' GL run was/is fantastic! I'll stick with just Valiant for now, with an occasional side helping of...

Re: Are you a Marvel, OR DC fan?
I grew up a Marvel fan. It wasn't until DC's COIE maxi-series that I went from a casual DC reader to a regular reader. I still like Marvel more with characters like Cap, Thor, DD, Avengers, X-Men and the FF, but I also like Batman, Nightwing, Tim Drake (pre-new 52), Wally West, Jay Garrick, the JSA,...

*EDIT- TRADED* For trade--Solar vol1 Valiant promo sign
For trade or sale---Solar vol1 Valiant promo sign. There's some things on the back of it talking about the first ten issues including an origin story for Solar. I believe I bought this some time ago from either Elveen or Knight (can't remember which one), so he might be able to describe it better th...

Sandman. Best story ever. Best characters ever. I really need to get the Absolute Editions. I have the entire run in floppies, many of which are multi-signed by the creative teams. I also have all of the first print hardcovers (which is how I read them initially). I had the Absolute Editions and as...
