Re: The Bloodshot movie...what would have happened
I think the budget was rather high considering Valiant is not a household name. I think more traditional effects could have been used, and a cheaper up and coming star could have been cast in the main role. I'm not trying to *SQUEE* on the movie, as I do like it, just my thoughts. It's been rumored...

Re: The Bloodshot movie...what would have happened
For me the Harada piece is key because it sets up the whole universe - dont forget they had to cut lots of little bits throughout the movie when they couldn't do Harada at the end like the question scene that teased Harbinger. I agree, there were probably tons of little bits they had to cut out. In...

Re: The Bloodshot movie...what would have happened
As for why the audience turnout was subpar, it just looked like a general action movie starring Vin Diesel. Even worse, it looked like an action movie from 15 years ago. Today's audiences are embracing comic book aesthetics, and this movie lacked that - especially given the movie's aversion to show...

Re: Are we becoming indifferent towards Valiant?
I've been reading stories with these characters in them since the mid 90s and I still like what I read. I also think we're nowhere near as bad as the Acclaim material was. Each to their own but let’s also recognise that you’re in the minority amongst Valiant fans, at least on this site which is the...

Re: XO and Savage cancelled??
I think this has more to do with the “pencils down” order and halt to publication during the Coronavirus outbreak than anything else. Savage was always going to be a limited series, so it’s not likely to get cancelled, and XO—as crappy as the reviews have been—is still their best selling, “flagship...

BLOODSHOT REBORN #10 (First Shadowman Cult)
I question this, as this entire arc (and it's characters) exist only inside Bloodshot's mind. It happened while he was controlled by PRS, it was right before Livewire helped Bloodshot lock out anyone who would attempt to hack his mind and control him.

Re: Interactive Visualization - history of CGC grading for Valiant books
Was there movie rumours back in 2015 that caused the spike of Rai 0/EW4 4? It would be interesting to see how many Magnus 1s and Solar 0s there would have been graded had VE1 managed to incorporate those trademark rights and publish the characters? Re: What was the Worst DMG/Valiant Series!?
You should ask Rahal about his time on Bloodshot PRS, it enlightening to say the least. I felt sorry for him having to finish off that train wreck. He’s a decent writer and did what he could with that pile of trash that had preceded him. Agreed! Think this was his third bail out of Valiant. I know ...

Re: What was the Worst DMG/Valiant Series!?
could only submit two votes, as there were some books I just didn't read (Roku, Dr Mirage) Bloodshot: Rising Spirit was just bad. Saved (a little) when Rahal took over. The last three issues made sense, art was decent, last arc gave us something (Blind coder: Hear no evil, See no evil, Speak no evil...

This was a bad book. I’m going stop being so hard on Dead Drop. This was my first valiant purchase in several months. It was worse than I expected. And I expected a subpar book. On the bright side, at least it failed spectacularly. One follow up to my post: If this book had been called “Roxxo and Z...

Re: Favorite DMG/Valiant Series?
I see that Rai is killing it above, and I wonder... Are people more satisfied with the story because there simply isn't much in the way of continuity? Most of the Rai series that came before revolved around New Japan. There wasn't much regarding Earth, and what it had become. With this Rai story exp...

Re: Favorite DMG/Valiant Series?
I even wonder if you can lump Incursion in there, as this outline was already set before the buyout. All they did was substitute Shadowman for Eternal Warrior. Maybe this still counts, but to me it's a VEI not VDMG publication Wait! Do you think that it would have STAYED Shadowman if VEI had contin...

This was bad, really bad. The pencils down mandate might be a blessing in disguise. Re: DMG first video game will be...
This is pretty random. I think that they probably went for the easiest thing they could possibly get done, coupled with the upcoming new #1. Maybe they are trying to hit two markets, use the book to push the game, use the game to push the comic?
