Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH

For a company with a horrible track record I find it ridiculous they would do a fund me for a comic book. They don't even wanna back their own stories Aand that doesn't bode well for me. As gammajosh notes above, this may be that the publishing arm has limited available capital, and this is their s...

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH

I noticed the campaign has hit the dreaded wall where new pledges slow to a trickle. It's at $43,000+ right now, which is where it was yesterday. They should easily sale past $50k with the surge in the final days. Hopefully they have some promotional tricks up their sleeve for the slog in the middl...

Re: I'm considering becoming a VH1 collector. Any tips or suggestions?

I highly recommend the VH1 Shadowman run; for me it crystallised perfectly with bob Hall taking over as writer, and the last few issues are a rollercoaster ride to a solid ending.

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH

Scheduled to release this time next year: guess we're not getting any Eternal Warrior before then facepalm Suppose I ought to be happy to see the character getting some pages at all given its success since the 2012 company relaunch. Great character but doesn't sell apparently :? £25 quid plus posta...

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH

I backed it a few days ago - just got the basic hardcover edition, don’t need any glitzy extras. Here’s hoping it all works out. The lead time on this is quite long, hope they deliver on that. I think this one would have done even better overall had they been able to attract more well known talent ...

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH

Accounting for KS's 5%, they are already over $33k and possibly already in the black. Possibly. Amazon payment processing also takes just shy of 5%, and I noticed they are using BackerKit which I believe charges 20% for their backend campaign management. So the expenses are a little higher, but ove...

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH

The Kickstarter thing is bizarre... As of this writing, they have raised $26,187 from 196 backers. Zero of the multi-copy "retailer packs" have sold, so it's a safe bet they have sold about 196 copies (one per backer), give or take a few add-on copies. That's an average of $133 per backer...

Re: ETERNAL WARRIOR: SCORCHED EARTH

It’ll be interesting to see how this goes. Depending on price I might sign up. Mind you I don’t know of any successful comic book kickstarts they never seem to happen. While I never chipped in for I’m still waiting to see the Battlechasers one come to fruition. In my experience the majority of comi...

Oxmyx wrote: Wed Sep 01, 2021 6:35:13 am Does anyone know if Shadowman floated or glided in the video game?
Not that I recall; Raziel in Soul Reaver did which had a similar world-switching motif, so that could be a conflation.

Re: Like old times ... a Shadowman question

I'm not exactly sure if this is a VH1 question or a VH2 question or a VEI question. Possibly it's about the video game. I was listening to a podcast about a year ago by general comics fans who had a casual familiarity with the VU. They were listing all sorts of information about the Valiant heroes ...
