Re: Bragging rights - your best Dead Universe deal of late?
Found a metric ton of Ultraverse comics at my local flea market for a quarter a piece. most were in really good condition. I also saw a lot of New Universe and Crossgen books but passed for the time being due to how many comics I had picked up that day. Hopefully they'll still be there when I return...

Re: Marvel 2099
Punisher 2099 is a very humorous take on the character by Pat Mills who manages to turn him into a much more extreme version of Dredd, Spider-Man 2099 is amazing and needs no further introduction, Ghost Rider 2099 has probably the most interesting premise out of all of them (a hacker downloading his...

Re: Marvel's New Universe discussion
It's written by someone who never liked the New Universe, and decided to write an article ripping it. :thumb: Well, that's not entirely true. He said that when it came out, he was really enticed by it's promises of a more realistic portrayal of superheroes (which I'm assuming by 1986 standards was ...

Came across this and was curious about what you guys thought of it http://www.avclub.com/article/how-marvels-new-universe-holds-upor-notthree-decad-105639" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The one line that makes me think the author's full of it is "Trying to shoehorn an ...

Re: Ultraverse Golds
The last seven gold hologram covers (not counting Ultraforce) that were sold on eBay have all gone for $40 and up. Wow! Nice to see some demand for Ultraverse. Hey, if there's a story worth telling, people will follow And you know something? I still think that the Ultraverse had a lot of great stor...

Valiant Parodies
So a few moments ago I found these rather tasteless parodies of Bloodshot & Harbinger by Parody Press. Anyone know anything about them?

Re: MC2
Seems kind of unfair that that only rebooted Spiderman 2099 and not the rest of the characters from that universe, but it was probably just a build up to the Spiderverse sagaBugsySig wrote:2099 was always a better future universe IMHO.

Marvel UK
Been kind of curious about this line as it was spearheaded by Captain Britain, Death's Head, and to a lesser extent Transformers. It's also sort of come back into the limelight with Marvel's "Revolutionary War" saga http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20131017234834/marveldatabase/images/0/...

Re: Doctor Mirage #1 - discussion
With Shan around, and Darque out of deadside, I think the valiant occult world is about to become good. I'm so impressed by this book, I'm hoping the valiant occult world will be the lead of next summer's big crossover event. Oh, okay so THAT was Darque! Not sure if I'm understanding you correctly,...

Harbinger #26 and onwards
Recently I completed reading all of the original run of Harbinger and something has kind of been bothering me, was it really deemed necessarily to continue it after Pete beat the bejesus out of Harada ? Because while what follows afterwards is nice from a character building standpoint for Faith, it ...

Blood convert
My own Valiant fanboy story starts with believe it or not 4chan, where I often frequent /co/ among others. While on a Malibu Ultraverse high I learned about Valiant (though I had previously only known them for the "Nintendo Comics System" line) and how well regarded it was. Let me just say...

Ultraverse Rune
After seeing so many bits and pieces of #0 in the back of my Ultraverse books, I decided to give Rune a chance. I'm sure most of you who are familiar with it are aware of how amazing it is, so I won't go out of my way to reiterate tired statements My question is this: Did it really deserve to be con...
