Re: Big trouble in the Spider-Man Universe

ok I am *SQUEE*! Mad Evil or Very Mad I am not normallly one of the fanboys who rant and rave everytime a minor change is announced. In fact I usually look forward to the possibilities that are opened up by each new storyline. But after reading a trio of articles on newsarama, I have issues. The ar...

Finish Unity 2000 and use that to explain what happened in X-O Manowar #68.
Then blow up both V1 and V2 universes and then start fresh with a hybrid of V1 and V2.

....Amazing Spider-man is $2.99 an issue? Wow... I should really pay attention to what I'm paying... I thought it was $2.25. Nothing is $2.25 anymore. They made a hell of a jump from $2.25 to $2.99. I think we'll be seeing $3.50 very shortly. Comics are ridiculously overpriced. Companies nee...

You're justifying X-O Manowar meeting the Smurfs. I'm kinda wanting to see that X-O/Super Mario crossover now... can we get WWF in on it too? Ironically enough, a crossover with the WWF would be permisable within the VALIANT "world outside your window" rule (i.e. Aerosmith in Shadowman). ...

So you don't think the Defiant Universe could've crossed over with Youngblood because one of the Good Guys made a reference to Youngblood being a comic book even though The Good Guys were a comic book characters themselves. OK. I got it. I understand where you come from but part of the fun of readin...

I haven't advocated mingling VALIANT characters with Nintendo or indeed any other fictional creation. I made a factual observation. Refute my factual observation if you can, but don't try to treat one fictional creation as real whilst dismissing all. It is all make-believe, and I am sure the writer...

To my knowledge there is no cover stamp on Transformers #1. Anything reguading if it's 1st, 2rd, or 3rd print. That info would be in the indica (the tiny print) on the first or last page. Edit: The only Marvel US variant cover for Transformers that I know of is a deluxe cover cover for Transformers:...

I forgot to mention that the last page of Wyrd, The Relucant Warrior
#6, that Ginn (Wyrd's gargolyle sidekick) asks Wyrd what's next and Wyrd replies that he has a cameo in Unity 2000 #4!

I was always into Defiant more than Valiant due to that I was able to get in on the ground floor of it whereas with Valiant I came into when Unity was about half way through. I liked Broadway but I felt Defiant was the best of all the three companies that Jim Shooter started. I liked the Ultraverse ...

Welcome aboard. Sad to hear that you had to sell your books. Do you plan on re-building the collection? 95% of what I sold I didn't want anymore and what I did want to keep that got sold are books that are pretty much cheap. So you're saying that you don't want to buy things back . . . or that you ...

Cyberstrike's Valiant story

It started with Unity #0 a free book that the comic book store I was going to at the time (the store has since went under) had on it's counter. I asked what it was about "it's Valiant Comics first crossover" the clerk told me. It was free so I figured what the hell I read it and was hooked...

I bought a bag of comics for a dollar at the Slave Labour booth at Comic Con last year and it had Wyrd #3 in it. The LCS has two trades of it sitting on the shelf and one is on my "to get" list. That bag also had Private Beach #2, and I have since acquired the first and second series with...

It was not cosmic so much as it was mystical. I think Breed would better suited as a horror comic than a cosmic or mystical. I highly recommend both Breed 1 and 2 they're both great series and also they're a somewhat semi-autobiographical of Jim Starlin himself! Starlin had planned a third Breed se...

I was reading Fallen Angel, Transformers, Noble Causes, Savage Dragon, and Rex Mundi before I had money problems that forced me out of comics for close to 18 months now. Now I'm thinking about just buying TPBs (or hardcovers) and getting out of the single issues all together.

I think that The Ultimate Univsere is designed for a cheap new fan to get into. I thought that the MC-2 Universe (Spider-Girl, J2, A-Next, Wild Thing, Fanastic 5, Dark Devil, and The Buzz) was better than the Ultimate Universe. Nice generalisation. I read both mainstream Marvel universe and Ultimat...
