Re: Bloodshot 0 Platinum Holy Trinity
CGC #3883224002 This copy is freshly graded from CGC. I purchased it raw off eBay from a sketchy BIN (bad photos and description) a number of years ago for $1000. Also originated from the USA. This copy is not as 'clean' a typical error book or even a regular edition #0. There is a yellow shimmering...

Re: Bloodshot 0 Platinum Holy Trinity
CGC #0159929001 This book I purchased off eBay around late 2009 for about $2000. Interestingly the original owner/CGC submitter included the original CGC submission form and was graded 06/25/2009. Other than the book coming Indiana, I have no more background info. It is a "run of the mill"...

Bloodshot 0 Platinum Holy Trinity
.....or we can can call it the Lobo threesome? If you follow my CGC submissions thread then you know I teased out that received 2 freshly graded platinums this week from CGC. I also had another 9.8 that I purchased previously. So now I own 3 9.8 Bloodshot 0 Platinum books and these rightly need to b...

Re: Harbinger 1 Facsimile Edition - Kowabunga Comics Exclusive
Unfortunately, they don't seem to post to Australia. But i'm lucky i have my original i bought 30 years ago, plus a couple others ive bought along the way. When I asked about Sweden they hoped to be able to arrange something. I'm waiting with my fingers crossed. /Magnus How did you get ahold of the...

Re: Opinion on CGC Submission
A thousand times yes, this book is worth submitting, it looks already to be a solid 9.6/9.8 already. Can't see any evidence that a press would even improve it because it looks pretty good. As for options submitting through someone in the Dallas area, I have none, but I'm sure someone else on the boa...

Re: Is this Bloodshot Platinum 0 labeled Correctly
https://www.ebay.com/itm/294003061546 It doesn't really look like it was "manufactured with partial silver ink printed on interior cover." It's hard to tell from the pic but doesn't it look more like the main cover is lacking some ink? Correct, that 9.6 has no inner silver layer for the f...

Congrats, Lobo! I think my 20 books are still sitting in the shipping box in some dark corner of a building. No doubt! Re: Lobo's CGC submission thread
Cool. Congrats. Can you give a high level on how pressing is done? Not asking for any trade secrets, but I don’t even know what the process is. Machinery? Can you press only the binding if necessary? What if it has a foil cover. Interesting you can do it on your own. Like the video Greg posted outl...

Re: Lobo's CGC submission thread
I'm back in the CGC saddle once again. Been submitting regular batches since mid January and the first books are finally coming back. What is special is about these submissions and every submission going forward is that I have been doing (and learning) my own pressing at home. I took the plunge sinc...

The 29th year of Valiant brought us a legit Hollywood movie of a Valiant character. That has to count for something even if a pandemic blew the wind out of it's sails.

Re: X-O Manowar #1/2 Gold - CGC census jump 8/18/2020
Sure but they all have condition issues! Well maybe not 39 of them but the rest! This book is printed on terrible paper, wavy, easily torn at the spine. I am shocked we got to 39. Given there was uncirculated stock, it should be many hundreds. If it was untouched stock then pressing could do wonder...

Re: 2020 CGC Registry Awards
The point value for variants is also wacky. VEI variants are no different in value than regular issues. I always thought it was that the creation of new sets with moderns that every book got the base 24 pts and just stayed at 24 pts indefinitely until a request was submitted to change the score. I ...

Re: Lobo's CGC submission thread
After a very lengthy pause in submissions, I decided to rush out 25 moderns along with some emergency reslabbing books at the beginning of June. Managed to get some Valiants in this bunch and all were "natural" 9.8s that didn't need the pressing treatment. It's been awhile since I had all ...
