Cool deal. Getting it matted and framed for my office along with several other splash-pages and rare art I picked up this past month. Will be a hell of a day at the frame shop yet again lol! :high-five:

Re: Just bought Harbinger #1 (1992) CGC 9.8 SS

It wouldn't have hurt to make a best offer to save you some cash. I don't know what he would have accepted for the book, but you may have been able to save a few bucks. Now this is very true, and perhaps had I made an offer of $750, I might have been able to take that extra $350 saved and snag a sp...

Re: Just bought Harbinger #1 (1992) CGC 9.8 SS

I feel so, as my intention is to hang-on to it. It is unlikely that I will stumble across a 9.9 or 10 SS, and even if I did odds are it will be beyond my reach (reasonable reach that is...). I already had Harbinger #1 in my collection, but it just looked out of place next to my other Pre-Unity SS bo...

Just bought Harbinger #1 (1992) CGC 9.8 SS

:breakingnews: So I just bought Harbinger #1 CGC 9.8 SS Signed by Jim Shooter and colorist Janet Jackson. Price was $1100. :P Now, I know that I could have picked up CGC 9.8 for $450-$500 unsigned with no effort, but I did want this specific issue in this condition and signed by Shooter (would have ...

She used to practice kung fu, but has shifted to lifting over the past few years. I think her one-rep-max bench is about 135lbs though, so not quite superheroine status yet.

Re: The Valiant Path

:offtopic: Wife asked me what we should do for Halloween this year. Initially I thought "Man, I bet no body has ever pulled-off Pre-Unity " Magnus "...". But then I decided that I needed another 20 pounds or so to make that goofy mini-skirt work. However, I think with a good wig,...

Re: Valiant: From Father to Son

Great story! Both of my daughters are comic fans, though they seem to favor Marvel and DC at the moment. I'm sure that will change as they grow and mature into intelligent people. :P
(Or once Valiant makes a CB Movie that captures their attention and causes them to raid my collection)

Re: The Valiant Path

:offtopic: So my wife calls me up yesterday afternoon and asks for $1,000 (or about 30,000 Thai Baht...) so that she can pay for a large dragon tattoo. Re: The Valiant Path

do they have any good Mexican food? There are very few options for Mexican food in Bangkok, though I do know of two spots that are significantly superior to the rest of what is available, and we swing by every other week or so. Last night we attended a welcome party for the new U.S. Consul General,...

Welcome to the board! What part of Louisiana? I'm a displaced Texan, but have been living in Louisiana for about 25 years. I was born in Texas, but grew up outside of New Orleans about 10 miles from the Mississippi state line. I live in Thailand right now and have a good position at the U.S. Embass...

The Valiant Path

Truth be told, I'm not that old; relatively speaking that is. Time is not absolute, and a man’s memory can be both long and short at the same time. Some things seem a lifetime away, while at the same time I can close my eyes and vividly remember when I first was introduced to the world of superheroe...
