Re: How many "Events" has Valiant done?
I would only call harbinger wars, armor hunters, book of death and 4001 events. I think valiant definitely bills The Valiant, Divinity and similar minis as event series but in my mind they arent events because they dont have tie-in issues. Also, if you compare an event like Futures End from DC whic...

Re: How many "Events" has Valiant done?
It depends on how you define "event" I guess. Going by what VEI has said, I would say Harbinger Wars Armor Hunters The Valiant Book of Death 4001 Bloodshot USA I think both The Valiant and Bloodshot USA are questionable since they are fully self-contained (guessing on Bloodshot). If you c...

Re: How many "Events" has Valiant done?
Let's see... off the top of my head I would consider these VEI events. Not sure if I've overlooked any, but since the 2012 launch, that work's out to about one a year (granted that the events started in 2013 with HW).
Harbinger Wars
Armor Hunters
The Valiant
Book of Death
4001 AD
Harbinger Wars
Armor Hunters
The Valiant
Book of Death

Re: ebay International shipping program is a scam
I've also pretty much dropped everything eBay due to the Global Shipping Program. Costs are too prohibitive. Exchange rate doesn't help much either. If I can't find a US seller who doesn't use it or a seller outside of the US, I'm not buying. And I used to buy a lot.

Re: I might be out on Valiant
Also like to clarify that I'm not giving up on Valiant - I think the company is here to stay - but I'm not buying everything that comes out anymore and there seems to be less of a consistency to the characters as series are ending and starting again (I'll point to the new A&A series vs the previ...

Re: I might be out on Valiant
+1 I'm pretty much in the same boat. I love the characters, but I'm way behind and not as engaged as I want or hoped to be in the Valiant universe. I used to buy almost everything when VEI first launched, but then there were too many variants, so those dropped and then when some of the runs ended, I...

Re: Introducing Bacchus!
This seems way too Quantum & Woody-ish. I was very open to the new team and series, but this worries me. I feel the same way. Q&W seemed to be the VEI comedy book that existed in the same universe, but didn't have strong connections, keeping the sillier aspects somewhat removed. Seems like ...

Re: Introducing Bacchus!
I'm not sure I can buy into the concept of what seems to be an entire civilization of random people/creatures living in Armstrong's satchel. A whole bunch of things, sure. Armstrong actually going into the satchel and being able to find his way out again? Seems like a stretch. I had always kind of f...

Ah. I was searching for user id, which is why I couldn't find it. Still don't recognise the name though (user id is ccman9892012) - I don't think I've bought from this seller. I only use eBay for harder to find books though. Generally I've had good luck on eBay, but I'll be sure to look at posted pi...

Re: 2016 Titles Speculation
Anytime a series gets to 12 and an arc is ending, there's a good chance it's the final issue... I've been wondering about Rai too though since the solicit doesn't state final issue explicitly. And it's a bit of an anomaly in VEI with periodic breaks in publishing. If the series doesn't end, I expect...

It's a nice one. A line-wide variant from VEI too.... the 3rd after Harbinger #8 and Shadowman #5 if I'm not mistaken.jeremycoe wrote:The Colleen Coover cover is my favorite.

Re: Shadowman Returns in Operation: Deadside
With the Operation: Deadside arc in Ninjak and the next Dr. Mirage mini both launching in December (both 4 issues), it seems Like Valiant is really building up the Deadside and supernatural components of the universe. Not too much of a stretch to see a new Shadowman series coming out of the end of t...

Re: Shadowman returning in December
Hopefully there's a bit of a prelude to this return at the end of Book of Death... then it sounds like a Shadowman appearance in Ninjak before a return in his own series. Finally! :D The article makes reference to a big announcement around the creative team - any guesses? Looking forward to the Dece...
