Re: What are you collecting these days? I've gone Golden Age and subscribed to Marvel Unlimited

Since valiant ended and badidea made it dificult for me to be a fan I haven't read a comic in over a year. My buddy sent me some comics I read a few pages and had to do other stuff and now I've not been back to it.it has been 2 months. Suposed to be a good one too. Guess I'm out of comics. Still a ...

Re: Stuffed by this eBay seller - crow331

Complaint made. They said I would get no further response. Seems like a silly thing to do over $25. I know it... I can't tell you how many times in my collecting life I've swallowed small-sum disappointments like that and walked away. But the other side of that is the guy left such a clear A to B t...

Re: Stuffed by this eBay seller - crow331

I don’t need these items, but I put in a bid for $25 for a sealed Darque Brew and Armstrong Ale. I won. I paid. Next day, the seller cancelled the order stating they were out of stock. I just decided to check, and sure enough, it was delisted for $50. https://www.ebay.com/itm/165696315431?mkcid=16&...

Re: Iron Man: Armor Wars MCU & Comics Breakdown

I have the entire set of the original Iron Man issues. Was one of the first runs I completed as a young collector along with Portacio’s Uncanny X-Men. Big :thumb: on that era of X-Men - some really amazing runs on that title between 200 and 300. As for Armor Wars - it's still infinitely readable. T...

Re: Does anyone actually have a Graded Nintendo set?

So I’m still missing two issues to have a complete set of everything published but also the prices people are asking is just crazy. Even raw prices. If someone is willing to be level headed at least I still need Zelda #5 1st print $1.95 cover Zelda #1 2nd print $1.50 cover that completes my at leas...

Re: Does anyone actually have a Graded Nintendo set?

I had a HUGE Nintendo Power collection back in the day that disappeared with a girlfriend many, many years ago
I've always been surprised that we don't see more graded Nintendo Power, Wizard Magazine and Toyfare to be honest.

Re: My Valiant Story (An old collector, but new to Valiant)

Welcome aboard! Love those Masterworks editions too - I try to pick up the limited print editions with the gold covers when I can, but the softcovers make for great reads with the re-coloring that is usually involved.

Re: What comics are you reading now?

TMNT- The Last Ronin - Good comic for old time and new tmnt fans, since its a standalone who reads great by itself, no need to know anything about the turtles, except the very basics. Hate the constant delays, but i'm all in until it ends. I was all-in on this one but I couldn't keep up with the de...

Iron Man: Armor Wars MCU & Comics Breakdown

I'm definitely looking forward to this show. Thought I'd give a solid breakdown on everything "Armor Wars" for anyone interested in the story or for speculators looking for the books that matter. It's a deep dive because the "Armor Wars" branding has been used quite often by Marv...

The prices have increased significantly. I regret passing up on the Solar 2 cover! Dude. I think it was like 15 years ago or so the Quasar #1 cover was on ebay for 2 grand. And it sat there for months and I never bought it. Eventually it sold and I've never seen it since. Of all the things on Earth...

Re: Top 5 Non-Big 2 Superhero Universes

Ghost seems to be their go-to I.P. from those days. Dark Horse should've found a way to incorporate Next Men and Nexus into that universe to give it some more clout. I don't know the publishing agreements with Byrne or Rude, but those two properties were already with Dark Horse and could've added t...

Re: Top 5 Non-Big 2 Superhero Universes

Nobody has yet mentioned Nexus or Badger. They did a crossover so I consider it "a universe". Weren't there other titles in that "universe "? Magnus even crossed over of course but I don't consider that part of it, because of the publisher thing Out of the Vortex, from the Comic...

Re: Top 5 Non-Big 2 Superhero Universes

I don't know that a crossover makes for a "superhero universe". Sure, sure any given character occupies the "universe" it resides in, but in the context of this conversation a superhero "universe" is a fleshed out publishing line of characters. Otherwise the thread woul...

You know basically the Ultraverse torch was actually pimped hard and carried here through this forum more than pretty much any other community. Ultraverse had legs for a while - back when the comic book hype machine was self-winding and all you had to do was produce a book in the 90's. I've got maybe only a 2 or 2 and a half long box Ultraverse "universe" in my collection and most of them I bought only for the "hunt" ra...

Looks like they are trying to trickle out another X-O book.... saw the solicit for it on DCBS tonight. What volume has X-O as a run been swiss cheesed into now? I think the last Valiant anything I bought was the X-O trade that one of the guy's here solicited to the board - the one with the sidebar b...

Do you think the first series runs of Valiant comics will worth something in the future? Individual issues might but the bulk of those runs are going to be worth less that it would cost to mail them. Many of those comics are well worth reading. Well said. It's a real shame that the aftermarket legs...
