Re: Valiant Sunday on The Comic Source
Today's Valiant Sunday is a chat with Bat in the Sun's Aaron Schoenke about the upcoming web series. A couple things before you listen. We didn't grill Aaron on the long delays or why it took so long. I know many of you want to know the answers to these questions and I am curious myself. However, Aa...

Re: Random thoughts on the DMG takeover for Valiant...
Anyway ... a few thoughts about the three points you made above. 3) Caylo is a marketing guy, you are right he did promote a ton of books at Boom! while he was there because Boom! was putting out a ton of books. Keep in mind they scaled back massively from those 39 books once the realized that they...

Re: Random thoughts on the DMG takeover for Valiant...
Never say never, but I would find it highly unlikely that Jim Shooter would work with Valiant again. He screwed them and was looking out for himself. I doubt they would trust him to bring him on, plus it has been so long since Shooter was relevant or had people who wanted to work with him. I know p...

3) Mel Caylo is now at Valiant/DMG after being Marketing Manager for BOOM! Studios - which has four different imprints - and features 39 different series on their website: http://www.boom-studios.com/SERIES/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Clearly, the expansion beyond 8 or...

Re: Random thoughts on the DMG takeover for Valiant...
I'm fine with all these things. Especially with Mel Caylo expanding the publishing line. Valiant should consider an imprint focusing on licensed titles. Maybe a VH-1 imprint to? DMG could buy back the Gold Key characters if they felt like it, they have the cash. They could hire Jim Shooter to launc...

Submit your questions for Ninjak vs the Valiant Universe
Hey guys! I am interviewing Aaron Schoenke tomorrow for this week's Valiant Sunday Podcast. I thought it might be fun if I choose a couple question for board members to ask him about. So if you have a question for Aaron please submit below and I may use it for the interview. There's about a 24 hour ...

This is exactly what I suspected when it was announced at C2E2 that his role at LionForge had been taking over by the LionForge Founders. Did I mention him in the Valiant Sunday podcast? Can't remember.

Re: Valiant Editor-in-Chief Warren Simons Resigns
I was literally sitting in the Valiant HWII panel today at C2E2 listening to Matt Kindt talk when one of the Valiant artists that I'm friends with texted me and told me about Warren. It was a bit surreal and the irony was palpable. During the Q&A at the end everyone was asking garbage like &quo...

Re: Valiant Vice-President Hunter Gorinson Exits Publisher
Hunter was a MASSIVE part of what Valiant did. The OG group at Valiant was: Dino, Warren, Fred, Hunter, and Atom. Dude is a great homie. I'm sure he will be great at whatever he does next. The simple fact is Valiant would not be where is is today without Hunter. His contributions from the marketing...
