Okay didn't want to create a new thread. I just finished Rai 7 and all I can say is why the heck did they kill him!! he was way more interesting that the other 2 Rais from the series. I think the death of Rai in Rai #7 is key to the "importance" of the Valiant Universe. It showed that any...

Thanks for your thoughts IMJ :thumb:

I think there are similarities but that might have more to do with Japan's relationship to the US at the time then Shooter possibly drawing on Ronin.

I picked the series up some time back when it was being kicked around that this would be the next Frank Miller movie adaptation. I thought it was a decent series. Not groundbreaking, but entertaining and it does seem to set the stage for Valiant's Rai on many aspects. Whether it was a direct influe...

Is it fair to say....

Black Lanterns = Zombies (?)

If so, is there a possibility Blackest Night is Marvel Zombie inspired?

Kingdom Come

Just read Kingdom Come by Waid and Ross.

I thought it was good but perhaps not as good as the hype.

Got interested as Dennis O'Neil mentioned it in his book on writing comics for DC.

Anybody here have an opinion on it?
