I am hoping one of those is mine (probably not-as I am waiting for the presser to send to CGC). I got a raw copy and submitted it in mid July to a presser who will submit for me.

Capital City Comics II by Crabtree Valley Mall ( now go check em out and see if I missed anything). Very cool! I worked for Ken at the Hillsborough St store in the early to mid 1990’s during the beginning of Valiant and the death of Superman. Funnest job I ever had. I bought all my first Valiant bo...

This has been a cool thread. The last time I was here in Okinawa, I saw a common Bloodshot at a thrift store. Now I will have to start looking for the HK versions.

Re: What comics are you reading now?

I just read the Absolute Edition of All Star Batman and Robin: The Boy Wonder. The introduction explained that this story is in the same bat-verse as Dark Knight, Dark Knight Returns, etc. Knowing that, I really enjoyed the series. I enjoyed the Batman with an edge, and art (of course) was fantasti...

Re: DC Layoffs

I just read Mile High Comic's newsletter and ole Chuck seems to think most of DC's print will be dead.I don't think it will be that drastic. Personally, I don't care whether DC loses 50% of the print titles out there. Of course I am only interested in Wonder Woman Dead Earth, The Question, Last God...

Re: What comics are you reading now?

I am still enjoying Immortal Hulk immensely - I discovered that it was truly the only comic that I really missed while the industry hit the pause button for covid19. There have been two issues of it out already since publication resumed, and They have been fantastic, even without the regular art te...

Re: Bragging rights - your best deal of late?

A few weeks ago I was in Raleigh, NC taking my wife and daughter shopping prior to our move to Japan. Popped into a comic store and they had five long boxes of Valiant. I wasn't expecting to find anything but ended finding the following VVSS books (NM): Armorines, Bloodshot, and Geomancer. Offered t...

Re: Weekend Valiant game...pick what I read next

Ill read Brittania with you. Tarheel, I just finished Brittania #1. I took me two weekends, a half each. I had other things going on, clearly. I was very impressed with the character art. Nero is the clear standout to me, although he made the manservant slave of Axios memorably drawn as well. Good ...

Re: Bloodshot movie vs novelzation

Thanks to RedBox, I watched it last night for $.67. I thought it was a typical, action movie. It was cool to see a movie produced from a comic we all bought in the 90s. I definitely enjoyed Wigan's character and he was the bright spot of the movie.

Re: X-O Manowar [2017] #25 Discussion

I read the 2017 series via the Omnibus. The start with Giorello's art really had me engaged, but I am a big fan of his work. From the omnibus perspective, the different artist kinda matched the writing for each individual story arc but overall I don't know if it's worth picking up Vol 2 of the serie...

Our Fighting Forces. Actually found it on Wednesday at Walmart. The Medal of Honor story was good. "Remembering The Leopard" by James Robinson was excellent. "The Last Full Measure" had some great Richard Corben art. There were some dud stories in it as well, but the good ones ma...
