Re: DC Layoffs

DC is definitely putting a lot of the print business to bed. I wouldn't be surprised if Valiant does the same. Marvel still seems to be plugging away with the Direct Market, with just a few casualties. We still have a lot of indie producers producing great stuff. But yeah, the comic industry may ne...

DC Layoffs

I'm surprised no one posted this yet but DC is going through some massive layoffs at the moment. https://bleedingcool.com/comics/dc-comics-editorial-bloodbath-going-on-right-now/ There's more but it's a lot to wade through. Before someone starts hitting the death-knell realize that this is AT&T ...

Just recently started Horizon Zero Dawn. Beautiful game and all but something is just not grabbing me. I haven't really been playing it.

Re: Double Take Comics!

I remember this. They were apparently going to use it first for video game comics where they were going to attempt to tie all of take-twos games together like X-Com and Bioshock. They of course met resistance to that from the actual studio devs. Which is what led to the Night of the living dead stuf...

Free Valiant Comics

I honestly don't know if anyone has posted but if you check out Valiants twitter they're giving away freedownloads of the comics. They are all PDF, have a watermark yes, but again PDF format ranging from single issues to full volumes all the way back the March. They're obviously doing this as a COVI...

Re: Was Harada scene ever filmmed? (Bloodshot movie)

Have a hard time seeing it. Novelizations for movies are based off early versions of scripts and he wasn’t even hinted at in there. So he would of had to be added last minute and that only makes sense if the movie rights when in reverse and went to Sony not left them.

It’s blatant false advertising. It’s an alternate ending for the big fight at the end

Re: Bloodshot movie vs novelzation

I picked it up when it was released on digital. I thought it was average. I didn't find it bad, but I didn't find it to be very good. I think if Vin Diesel looked like Bloodshot for most of the movie, my personal enjoyment would have increased quite a bit. I mean, we now live in an era where the mo...

Bloodshot movie vs novelzation

So I finally got a chance to see Bloodshot. I wasn't aware that the early release ultimately led to an early physical release as well. Overall the movie was too bad I thought Harting, Wiggans and KT were all good characters. Harting wasn't cartoonishly evil, Wiggans added some decent comedy, and KT ...

Re: What video game are you currently playing?

I've actually torn through quite a few games recently. Current game is Shadow of War the follow up to Shadow of Mordor. It's the ultimate screw around game. Run around kill things, get killed, create unique unit, brainwash unique unit, put it into highest power roll, rinse repeat. If you are a hardc...

The X-O one really *SQUEE* me off the most for some reason. It just doesn't even feel like the same character. Hell it's not even the first time that happened either

Good question, dude. I don't know nothing but good question. Ironically, I'm about 3 pages in to Unity Zero via the TPB. I just read the Unit-Y part. That's a great retcon. Made me almost laugh. Re: DMG first video game will be...

Makes sense really. Valiant is a small publisher and might have problems getting the characters picked up for games so this is in the vault and they own the character out right unlike Turok. Wonder if this will include the sequel as well. Hopefully they don’t charge much ain’t worth more than $10 at...

Re: Who has been biggest name star in a Marvel movie? DC?

All this talk of Vin Diesel has me wondering. Arnold Swatenager and Jim Carey come to mind, on the villian side. Already famous stars, not "are famous now" stars Was Jim Carey as famous by his Batman movie? I think so George Clooney was pretty big by the time he did Batman. Patrick Stewar...

Is Geoff Johns still a creative force there? He might not be bad as publisher or they should try and get Karen Burger back. Why they ever left her leave is beyond me. I think people seriously underestimate Vin Diesels drawing power. For god sakes he relaunched XxX and made it a sucess. I agree. I don't know if we have Dinesh to thank for casting Vin Diesel, but whoever it was made a brilliant choice. As a producer and CEO/CCO of Valiant, I certainly did my part ...
