I may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but if it were a pre-Unity for $1250, I would be posting the jpeg link and not the price.

:) (and your statement in itself says a lot about today's market)

(Having said that, it's a beautiful BEAUTIFUL piece.)

Curious...

I'm trying to decide weather or not to pick them up (one, both, or neither), so when I make that decision, I'll share the specifics on anything I leave behind.

While you're thinking, do you mind saying if we're talking pre-unity (in which case it seems like fair prices) or not?

I had this ...

I hope that's all there is. If there is anything beyond normal paperwork that could be problems it should be the trademark issue as reported on Newsorama. I'm not sure on US trademark laws. VIP has applications ...

So where are the rights to the actual valiant output? I'm thinking in terms of reprints and trades - who owns the artwork? This is as important to me as any new prospective relaunch.

That is very good question. It's been guessed that any usage of Magnus, Turok and Solar, including reprints must ...

Good pun. Even with everyone agreeing on how bad it is, I still find it surprising that they actually make it a part of the DVD to tell everyone how much it stinks.

Too honest

Just watched Supergirl. On the DVD they also have some texts about the actors. I don't know where they got the texts, but someone should have thought twice. Here's part of the text about the main actrice: "Alas, Supergirl was a failure, not so much due to Slater's spunky but antiseptic performance ...

Re: Weekly Theme XV (30/04/05): Art vs Printed

Something a bit different. I remember in an interview I read that the early comics often were so late that they had not been well checked before going to the printer, and the plates had to be corrected. This of course adds to the already difficult task of identifying the early art. While not ...

Re: Read the Shadowman TPB

The explanation I remember goes like this:

In the end the energy was injected into the mask of shadows, but in time Jack became able to ...
