I think that The Ultimate Univsere is designed for a cheap new fan to get into.

I thought that the MC-2 Universe (Spider-Girl, J2, A-Next, Wild Thing, Fanastic 5, Dark Devil, and The Buzz) was better than the Ultimate Universe.

The story of Infinity Abyss is about Thanos losing control of a group of clones that he created by crossing his DNA with various Marvel heroes and villains. The only thing Infinity Abyss is only memorable for it's Thanos-ized versions of various Marvel heroes and villains. IIRC There's a Thanos/Iron...

IIRC Thanos first appeared in Iron Man vol. 1 #55.

I would also recommend reading The Thanos Quest a 2 part mini-series that shows how Thanos got all six of the Infinity Gems before the Infinity Ganulet mini-series.

Spider-Man 2099 is best because of Peter David's writing and the art's OK not bad just not spectular in my opinion. Ravage 2009 the the first 6-8 issues are probably the best because Stan Lee wrote them after Lee leaves the book it goes down the tolet pretty fast. Doom 2099 is OK up till about #25. ...

Anyone tried First comics? I've got a full run of Nexus(including the capital city stuff...except for the damn issue with the record...#3 I think), the majority of Grimjack and Badger, the Crossroads books and a smattering of some of their other books (Sable, etc) but nowhere near a complete run .....

Squirrel wrote:I really liked RUNE by BWS, and LORD PUMPKIN, SLUDGE, PRIME.. I even have some original art pages from Lord Pumpkin and Sludge, great art work I thought
I loved BWS' work on Rune some his best IMHO but after he left the book
no one else could do the character justice.

First Comics questions

I was going reading some my old Dreadstar comics when in one of the last 3 issues in the company's editoral page they were mention a Christmas comic thhat they were producing called "The Gift". At the time I orginally read the article I thought it was just preview book of the comics that they were p...

Sounds cool, but I think I might be interested it it was closer to 20 than 30, as the comic itself is something most of us probably have and if not could get for under $1. I think I'd be more interested in a Dark Dominion#1 (which for some reason I have long a long box full of) VSS with a Steve Dit...

Ultarverse Firearm movie

This was a 35 minute short movie that was a lead in to Firearm #0 there was 30,000 limited edition of it on VHS I was wondering if anyone else had a copy of it? It's a good little movie written by James Robinson my only real complaint with is that the ending is a cliffhanger that leads into right to...

Just to be 100% certain before I correct ComicBase on this, there are only TEN issues of Dark Dominion, right? CB has thirteen listed but no pictures for the last three. The lack of pictures isn't indicatvie of anything other than their users don't have a pic yet. I've had some common books not tur...

3) Mantra was one of those books with an intresting concept a macho male warrior's stuck in the body of a beautiful single mother. 2) Ultraforce-a simple concept that still works plus having Prerez on the first issues didn't hurt either. 1) Firearm-the best written Ultraverse book period. I also hav...

I have a question: Do you consider one series (or a series of limited series and one-shots) like Dreadstar a dead universe or is it a company? Now bear with and I'll try to explain: these characters for the most part existed in their own universe (the only time Dreadstar ever met any others outside ...

It's nice to find a place that loves forgotten (I perfer that term as to dead but that's just me) comic book universes.
