Re: Free Comic Book Day

I managed to get one easily. My store had a get two free but you have to pay a dollar for more (the dollar goes to a local charity) so I`m curious as to how many picked up Valiants book as opposed to DC or Marvels. Also hope some of you grabed Captain Canuck. Are there different comics depending on...

Re: Free Comic Book Day

How did everyone's FCBD go? Nice weather made it a fine day to get some comics. At first glance my favorite pick is Bob's Burgers. Got some of the usuals, superhero stuff, the Bongo misc stuff and got a TMNT because it reminded me of the carton from my childhood. I hope I can get the 25th Ann. FCBD ...

Re: DC Comics Future's End

Just finished the Batman 1 shot and it's a great read from beginning to end. :thumb: The Bat is what I assume is his usually committed self and finds Luthor's latest hijinx. No to decide which one to get next. Front runners are Sinestro & Green Lantern, maybe Red Lantern.

DC Comics Future's End

Issue #0 was a Free Comic Book Day offering and I quite to to have picked one up. 8-) A great read
with a robot apocalypse on the verge of ending and not in a good way. Most of the heroes are "assimilated"
and very few remain to carry on the fight. Good final page twist. :thumb:

Re: Who is the most influential female superhero in comics?

I'm going to take a shot with saying Jean Grey. The character first appeared in September 1963. Back then there were few in any other female characters. She paved the way for others later on.

An Unexpected Surprise

Well it's become apparent to me that Valiant is back as an independent company. :o :thumb: Quite a shock as last I'd heard they'd been acquired by Acclaim and then went kaput. Having recently gotten back into comics after much time without much interest I'm working on getting caught up with Marvel's...

I was looking through my collection last night and one caught my eye. Star Trek Armada 1. It's an oldie but a goodie. Great storyline and four playable factions. Federation, Klingon, Romulan, and Borg. One of my favorite things to do against comps in multiplayer is let loose my inner Borg and assimi...

Ok I started coming up with a list You know you're GTA addict when: 1. You're walking around, see a car and your first impulse is to steal it. 2. You see someone driving and someone else walking nearby. You think to yourself "Do try not to hit them. They probably won't make a squishing sound or...

I was just playing GTA 1 and it occured to me. Isn't "pursuit of happiness" one of my basic American right? :hm: So why is it that if I want to collect comic books, there no problem. But if random acts of violence and mayhem are what make me happy the pigs gotta stop me. :P I say fight the...
