It doesn't mean what Alanis Morrissette thinks it means either, to be fair.

When I was a teenager a friend of mine insisted on calling Solar "So-Lar". Like a *SQUEE* Masters of the Universe character.

Re: How Do You Pronounce...
When was a kid it was always Boni-face (more like Bahn-uh-fus, really) but now that I'm more learned and worldly it's Bone-I-Fachee.
It never occurred to me that Archer was pronounced any differently than AR-chur.

Dinesh is still doing amazing work but now at Bad Idea. I highly recommend Pyrate Queen. It's a truly amazing book but also The Ends, ENIAC, Orc Island, The Finder, Hero Trade as really, really strong.
I've heard good things and checked out ENIAC when it came out, but I'm just not into comics ...

Yes, but only X-O Manowar: Invictus #1 (hated it) and The Darques: Soulside #1 (liked it).
Those were my first Valiant books since I dropped everything after Life and Death of Toyo Harada. But that being said, I haven't read a new comic book in 3 years since those two and have, after 35 years as a ...

But the cover to the latest Dave's Picks gives off strong Harbinger #1 vibes.

Re: Anthologies and Team Books
Those were precisely the notable exceptions I was talking about. With the exception of Weopon X, the Sam Kieth stuff, and there's a cool Gulacy sci-fi character in there. Occasional gems but mostly filler yeah

And the Steve Lightle covers were incredible.

Unity is a no brainer, but Armor Hunters and Harbinger Wars were both incredible. Was never really feeling The Valiant, but admittedly I was in the middle of checking out of Valiant completely when it came out.

Re: Anthologies and Team Books
I like the "idea" of these kinds of books more than I like the actual products usually. Marvel had some magic when they did the old "Strange Tales" and Tales to Astonish" type books and some of those titles were positively glorious, but they storytelling back then made it so you could actually tell ...

I checked out after Kindt, Lemire and the like took over from Venditti, Dysart, etc and I haven't read a new comic book in a few years, but I might just take a peek at this.

Selling full runs with autographs
Hey, lads! Just soliciting some advice here. As some of you all know, I have been drastically downsizing my collection over the years. I have whittled my collection of around 12,000 comics down to just the absolute essentials. Now it's time for the essentials to go...lol. After being a comics reader ...

I'd be all for a graphic novel only approach. As may good memories I have to heading to the shop every Wednesday in the past, comics (at least most of them) aren't written to be enjoyed serially anymore.
