Re: Did comic writer Jonathan Hickman used to be a poster/member here?

Every Jonathan I have ever known has been very specific about not including an H in their name, especially in the contracted form of Jon. Both John and Jonathan are of Hebrew origin but not related beyond the jo- in both names coming from the given name of the Lord. Jonathan is related to the name ...

Re: 29 years of collecting Valiant...

The 29th year of Valiant brought us a legit Hollywood movie of a Valiant character. That has to count for something even if a pandemic blew the wind out of it's sails. Christopher Reeve arrived for D.C. in year 40. Back then he was Christopher walkin'! I feel disappointed in myself that i found thi...

Dynamite sucked for 15 years on this board, and they still suck in the real world, but they also blow. They're the Shop-Vac of publishers.
Chiclo tells me it's windy where he is because New Mexico sucks and Oklahoma blows. Or something like that.

I'm not sure being near a participating shop is enough. My local comic shop Midtown Comics will not set up a pull list for less than 10 titles a month.
That blows! :!:

Re: I'm starting to think Bad Idea might actually be a terrible idea.

I get it. It's nothing to someone who has the good fortune to live or work near a Bad Idea store. It's a minor inconvenience to me having to drive across town to get the books. Something I'll not likely do every week. It's even more of a drag if you have to wait a month to get it. I'm sure Dinesh re...

Re: I'm starting to think Bad Idea might actually be a terrible idea.

Well, Ed is a store. Two stores, I think. The only Bad Idea store in my county is about 30 miles away from me, but I’ll make that drive. I realize that not everyone can/will but what can you do? Dinesh did everything by the book with Valiant and it turns out that even when you do (almost) everything...

However the simple fact we are having this discussion means that something has gone wrong - and this kind of thing should probably not be repeated. I dunno. The fact that we (and others) are having this discussion means that something went exactly as planned. Now whether it was a good or Bad idea r...

One ebay listing just ended at $860!! :o Yeah, I don't even care about ENIAC anymore at this point! I'm out!!!!! What’s the reasoning behind this? Are you if the mind that if you can’t get every book then you won’t get any of them? It sounds like the story itself will be printed inside another book...

The one shop in San Diego county had “sold” theirs. Or something. I talked to the owner and he said Bad Idea was living up to their name.
Got to get my hands on a copy somehow...
