I would definitely recommend Shadowman even post-Chaos Effect. IMO, it stayed consistently good throughout the run, and even the ending was a good one (albeit a deliberate cliffhanger -- does Jack control his destiny, or is his fate written? One of the big themes of the series, and Jack finds a way ...

Master Darque wore the X-O armour???

:o :?

How the HELL did "they" get hom out of it???

-slym

It was a horrible, horrible storyline near the end of the series.

Master Darque goes toe to toe with the X-O armor in a fight for a little while, then just sort of zaps it with ...

i'm definitely not a fan of the post #50 version. those bulky hand cannons do not look cool to me.

Man, I was definitely the wrong person to set up this poll. I didn't even know they updated the armor a third time in the first series. Oh well, from the responses so far, it looks like it does not ...

I want X-O Bicycleowar, myself. Or maybe X-O Briefcaseowar. I really can't make up my mind between those two. But forget that Aric guy -- Master Darque is the one true wielder of the X-O!

(Yes, I just finished the run of X-O for the first time the other day. Wow. How the mighty had fallen. Ugh ...

I agree, but they also never addressed what happened to the ring when Magnus' mentored was killed. Why wouldn't Spylocke have picked up that armor? That would have been cool to see how the alien armor interacted with one of its own kind.

I'm actually not far enough along in my rereading to have ...

My roommate and I just read those recently as well (a reread in my case, the first time for him.) We both had to laugh at the sheer stupidity of Magnus there at the end.

I'll grant you, he wanted to prove his point, and he did. But that is the control ring of of a weapon that would make whoever ...

Bosworth Dormitory, Oklahoma College, Oklahoma City?

I can deal with making up a dorm name, and I wouldn't care if the place was drawn entirely unlike the real campus, but the UNIVERSITY of Oklahoma is in Norman (a little south of OKC) and is where Bosworth attended/played football. I'll ...

Valiant Fanfic?

Hi all,

With freshly revived interest in the Valiant Universe, I started to poke around in search of Valiant fanfiction. Is there really none out there? There were a couple of pages linked from elsewhere on the site, but neither of those pages were still up.

I'll grant you, a high percentage of ...

Another Valiant Return!

Or another return to Valiant fandom, more accurately, but that doesn't sound anywhere near as catchy as a subject line.

I was in high school back when all the original hype around Valiant was raging, and really didn't care to check it out -- they're popular now, I thought, but it won't last. Sadly ...
