Defiant1 passed away? That’s sad.

He was a good guy. We had our differences but had our love for Defiant comics.

While I never met Jim personally, he had a large influence in my life, as he did most on this board. I did get to interview him once for a comic book series that never came to pass so we did speak once in our lifetimes. I always considered him a genius and this hurts to see him pass.

RIP Jim.

I remember buying the first Valiant relaunch books back in 2012.

And I would have bet $1,000 - right then and there, that there was *no way* the new Valiant line would outlast (in years, let alone output) VH1.

Looks like the Unity issues are in the new Harbinger Omnibus so it seems Valiant has no problem reporting Unity.

My guess would be that the only thing stopping a reprint of Unity are the issues of Solar and Magnus. They can reprint their appearances in other comics ...

Alien and DMG/Valiant are the same company? Valiant didn’t buy Alien nor vice versa.

I would postulate that Nintendo and WWE are separate from the VH-1 superhero lines.

The superhero line, under Shooter, did not have a bad issue.

DMG and Alien have consistently shins themselves to be amateurs when it comes to releasing a quality comic book line. If IDW can take control and (significantly) improve the books then that might be something.

Little less than a month left on the 2nd Schism Kickstarter. Kickstarter started off pretty strong but had about 1/3rd of the way to go.
