Don't know yet. I tend to read *about* Marvel and don't read Marvel. That's from the online preview.

But I asked my LCS to pull a copy for me, just because.

Priest wrote some issues of VH-1 Solar, Man of the Atom as well as a VH-2 mini. HYPE: Roland Mann's New CAT & MOUSE Kickstarter

Roland Mann is revitalizing/re-visualizing his CAT & MOUSE concept (originally published by Aircel comics) and has a Kickstarter going. They met their initial goal in less than 48 hours, so now the stretch goal (with LOTS of cool extras!) is based on total # of pledges [250+ pledgers result in s...

Kickstarter (almost done): Roland Mann, author

This is a bit of hype about a Kickstarter by Roland Mann, formerly of Malibu (and Marvel) Comics. Citizens is the story of Bedford Tanner, a young man who enters the army on the promise from the government that he would earn his citizenship when the war is over. Unfortunately for Bedford, a new part...

Re: Tampa Bay Comic Con - Clayton Crain, Bob Layton, Walking

So *you're* the one who got that Crain Bloodshot. Dang--that was so sweet, I had to snap a pic of it from behind the fans. Congratulations! I had him sign some Bloodshot & Harbinger Wars stuff, as well as VH-2 Shadowman. He even spoke civilly, if not fondly, of those days. nothing but praise for...

Re: Bloodshot Hardcover

Bought two from my LCS and opened one. Highlight of my day: turning to the new tale and reading Alexandria, Egypt Present Day  (emphasis mine) VanHook brings it. Bloodshot, Gil, and even an EW flashback sequence. I'm always happy to see Perlin's Bloodshot. The art is nice. It's cool that the o...

Re: Unpublished BloodShot Yearbook #2 Homage in new BloodSho

There you are!! Long time bro, you reading the new books? Oh, yeah. I get 1 copy of all non-Bloodshot titles and 3 copies of 'shot. It's all I can afford these days, sadly. I'm holding my comments because I'm still waiting for the big "Say WHAT?!?!" that I know's a-coming. I couldn't be h...

Re: Do you recommend these books?

The Bloodshot yearbook is very different for the character and has some good (if unscripted) art by Michael Bair. I re-read it a few times a year and always enjoy it. Very noir-ish.

Re: X-O Manowar volume 2 Acclaim question

As Magnus pointed out, Aric got the armor in 408 AD and was a fierce warrior until the armor resulted in his premature death. Dwayne McDuffie had planned to bring back Aric's consciousness but the title got cancelled before it could happen. I liked the one-shot and the McDuffie issues were actually ...

Re: SO......

I'm down with the variants. I agree--if you don't want one, don't get one. As long as there's enough "artistic merit" for one, go for it (yeah, I've seen the "negative image" ones and it always leaves me scratching my head. Of course, if they ever produce a "negative image&q...

I didn't like Armorines much (mainly due to its association with X-O), but really dug SW. To me, it was Armorines done right.

I liked the armored team quite a bit. Certainly more than the "Secret Defenders" like initial concept. Although the Bloodshot-focused issues were pretty good.
