I was in NY on january and Midtown Comics had at least 0.50 bins. I got some nice Valiants and stuff. There's also a really cool Brooklyn Comic Book Store with a bin with extremely cheap comics and tpbs (these are all recent stuff)

I, for one, never cared much about the original Shadowman and find the new one refreshing. The first story arc was pretty good (despite some hohum, like Dox's totally absurd and incorrect name and the character itself which I found pretty lame) and the art terrific. The second arc was a little so-so...

After what Dark Horse did with Magnus I didn't even bother to look at this new books. It really sucks because Solar and Magnus were my favorite books when I started reading Valiant Comics back then.

I agree. There's a lot of Valiant overpriced art out there (a quick look on ebay will show you), but I do not think this is the case. This arguably one of the best covers from a series that sported some great cover art by Sean Chen. I do not think you can even find any decent Acclaim cover for 300-5...

Steven T. Seagle or Paul Jenkins on Master Darque/Shadowman (altough I am a big fan of Peter Milligan)
John Ostrander on Bloodshot
JM deMateis on Q&W

I'm really enjoying Shadowman and I think having Peter Milligan on board is a blast. Funny because I never paid much attention to the pre-relaunch Shadowman. I also liked Kano on Quantum & Woody and Archer & Armstrong is quite fun.

Actually it has more to do with the publishers and production procedures. It's actually more worthy for them to publish tpbs than single comic book issues since newsstands are long gone as a sales point and the profitability of the "classic" 24 page comic book came from large print runs. S...
