Is that really a tattoo? Thats pretty bad *SKREE*! Do you have a better picture of it? Yeah, it really is a tattoo. The tattoo itself isn't bad - just that image of it. I've posted the story elsewhere, but the tattoo was done about 9 or 10 years ago. Nobody had a digital camera back then. I didn't ...

I thought this was one of the weaker issues so far. It reads like the plot to a Van Damme / Dolph Lundgren movie - a lot of action, not much real story behind it. The initial meeting between Bloodshot and Gilad just didn't work for me. After that, however, what's there is good. I liked that the sour...

This is one of my favorite issues of Eternal Warrior. It's one of those first handful of Valiant Comics I ever read - one of the books that made me go "wow - that's good stuff" after reading it. The Immortal Enemy is one of the most compelling of Gilad's enemies - or was until he could mov...

Yeah, I think about that every now and then too. How many issues of Ultimate Spider-Man did it take to tell the basic story from Amazing Fantasy #15 - which didn't even comprise all of that issue?

X-O Manowar is a close 2nd, though. Those first few issues are really great. I re-read the TPB about once a year just because it's such good stuff.

No doubt about it, my answer is Shadowman (I didn't tattoo his symbol on me just because I thought it looked cool!). Being a Louisiana resident myself made Shadowman seem like a "local hero." I liked his unconventional approach to everything - music, fighting, and life in general. My favor...

In live in central Louisiana and my wife works in the ER (she's a clerk, not a nurse) at one of the local hospitals. What exactly is the "3M color art?" These colored pages don't look much like the colored pages SONICDAN has. Those have the colors going off the borders of the printed portion of the page. These don't.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the way I think it works is you use the img tag when it ends with .jpg or .gif. For the Hulk piece, if you wanted the image to be displayed in your message here, you would wrap the address of the image itself in the IMG tag. Like this: [img]http://www.inkspotcomi...

I really wouldn't consider an increase in back issue prices alone a "comeback." A comeback to me will be when Valiant comics are once again on the "New Issue" stands. I'm hopeful it will happen. I'm confident it will happen. But I worry about the quality of those books once it do...

This is the reason I think info on the VCVSS and VFVSS books should be added to the database. When people find the ValiantComics.com site, then wander here into the message board and read about these books, they immediately go back to the database to find information on them. But there's no info the...

Every book I have is bagged and boarded (even crappy books and even crappy books in crappy condition) and in long boxes. One thing I like to do this is bag them upside down. The flap and tape goes at the bottom of the book, not the top. This is for 2 reasons. 1) It actually *looks* a heck of a lot n...

Come on now, Punx was good, it's just a shame we didn't get to see it finished, as it was funny. Magnus was a whole different story. I've been more excited about shopping for toilet paper than reading Keith's stuff. You're right. I should have qualified that and said "his Valiant stuff (beside...

Keith Giffen. Now I've heard he's apparently some comic book bigshot, and he may write other books well, but what he did to Magnus hurt me. Russ Manning is probably spinning in his grave as to what happened to his creation. Oh, and all of VH2. This Fabian guy, another supposed comic book bigshot, d...

I never cared for Ernie Colon's Valiant work. When I was re-reading the Unity TBPs recently, the art on his Magnus issues was very jarring and did not flow at all with the other issues. He has an interesting style, it just didn't seem "Valiant" to me.

Ditto. I have no original art (yet), but I'd sure love to. The question was about the "ultimate" experience, after all.
