Re: What comics are you reading now?

Finished re-reading Invincible recently and I'm almost halfway through DMZ's 72 issues. How was the invincible reread? Does it hold up? I have been thinking about rereading it, so would love to hear your thoughts Definitely. Still my favorite super hero book. The end came fast, but it read well as ...

Re: EBAY: CGC 9.4 Bloodshot #0 Platinum (Not Mine)

I see the book selling in the $1,700 range normally if the seller wants to part with it. The people who buy these books aren't speculators and I'm not sure a movie can draw in new speculators who'd spend that type of money. Pricing on these has been fairly consistent (I think) for years. Maybe it se...

I wish the certificate had the date (at least the year) of the signing. Did you buy yours from Comic Connection?
Nah. I found it at a con from a dealer who had just bought a collection of nice stuff a few years ago.

I figured pretty much the same as you and it's nice to know the legit grade on high grade copies.

Re: What comics are you reading now?

My first time on X-men in a while. I read the issues of Ultimate X-men that Kirkman wrote, some Peter David Madrox and X-Factor stuff (great stuff!) and since before the crash...that's about it. I read the House of X #1 a couple times and liked it. I have the other two to read still. I'm not the big...

Question About Q&W VEI tpb 1...

Today, I ran across 2 versions:

1. Logo was white
2. Logo was reflective

What's up with that? Can y'all point me the right way, por favor?

I'm up to #4 on this. Issue 5 is out. If this makes it to hardcover, I'm getting it! I've re-read the first issue 3 times already.

If you like Scalped, read this!

Re: What comics are you reading now?

I picked up the new Conan #1 by Marvel. I went in with low expectations. I will be adding this to the pull list. Dialogue and art are top notch. I was a big fan of Dark Horse's version, but I am excited after reading issue #1. Looks like Conan is in good hands. It was good, but not enough to pull m...

I am finally reading "Chew." Despite all the recommendations for it, I stayed away because the art just turned me off. I decided to give it a try and the art is perfect for this series. I am enjoying the hell out of this book and I look forward to every new panel to see what funny stuff is written ...

Re: What comics are you reading now?

Death or Glory from Rick Remender has been really good so far. The Edge of Spider-Geddon 1 - First time I've ever seen this Spider-Punk character, but I liked the variant cover enough to buy it. It was a pretty good read and a good introduction into the Spider-Verse, I guess. Multiple Man - I still ...

Fables. Started when it came out in 2002, floppies then into trades through volume 11 and 2 Jack of Fables trades. Started back into it last year with the goal to read everything. And have kept slacking on reading 1-2 trades per week. It's a chore. Got 11 trades left. It gets good in spurts after i...

Invincible was on my 2017 planned readings, I even went and ordered the 1st TPB. Haven't touched it yet, saving it for a bored night or something. Its great that the series has an actual ending, although I understand you guys feeling sad. It will take me forever to get into it, lots of books and sp...

It looks like Usagi Yojimbo books are starting to get some money love. Makes sense.... Rabid fan base that just grows slowly over time. Timeless stories with some morality to many of the stories. Love me some Sakai. It has to do with the upcoming cartoon, right? I also love Usagi, anyone who hasn't...

Re: What comics are you reading now?

Elsewhere is really good. Might be a good book to try for wives since Amelia Earhart is the lead. Jay Faerber always finds the best artists who go on to be stars and this is another solid one. Dark Fang is pretty hilarious. It's about this cartoony vampire cam girl chick who takes on everything wron...

Has anyone else read Rose from Image? I read the first two issues and kind of forgot about it, but I loved it. I need to go back and read it.
