:atomic: Thanks, Dan! :atomic:
I think this book would be an intresting read, if it ever sees the light of day. It might even spur others to write their own. What did you hear about the book, Knightt? Maybe you can bring it up the next time you talk with Perlin. He might have some insider info on it.

Jim Shooter was supposed to be writing a book on the comic industry titled "Super Vllians". Does anyone have any updates on this info? Thanks in advance!:)

Does anyone else own a copy of "Inside Comics" #2, from Spring 1992? It has a poster in it of the cover of Unity #1, but it says below it-"VALIANT -- Quality IS Absolute". It's the only time I've seen them use that twist on the wording. Did it appear elsewhere? Don't recall seein...

While I 100% agree with CJV's point of view, I believe the whole problem could have been fixed with a smiley face!

http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/447660/4756626/74260549.jpg I mentioned in my initial post that this was originally published in WIZARD #4, from December 1991 (pictured above). I believe it was Wizard's 1st article on Valiant (2 pages). I also found out that the artwork is by Lapham & Layton.

I am a Valiant fan just like all of you. I like to have fun on these boards just like everyone else. You will get no arguments from me about anything. I have found from my experiences that arguing is a negative pursuit which usually resolves absolutely nothing. I sincerely apologize if you didn't fi...

Great posts, Zeph! You're right on the money in my book. Now can you do a post explaining what a File Copy is to Knightt? I don't think he understands...

PS---Congrats on making it to over 2000 posts without getting kicked off. :)

Rare Layton X-O Promo

http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/447660/4756626/74260762.jpg As a promo for X-O #1, Bob signed 600 X-O inserts that were randomly placed in copies of Previews #33. Do any board members own one? I'd like to find one. This pic of Bob being thanked by Vice Prez of Diamond is from Wizard #4 (Dec 1991).

http://pic2.picturetrail.com/VOL36/447660/4756626/74261350.jpg Yes!, before Valiant-Vision, there was SpectraPower Process coloring! I don't recall seeing this unpublished Harbinger #1 cover on this website, so I thought I'd share. It was published in a Valiant article from Wizard #4 (Dec. 1991). Not sure who the artists were.

I sure dont want to argue with you Knightt, but you might want to look up the definition of "File Copy" in your Overstreet Grading Guide Glossary. You'll see that Bob's copies fit the description. And whereas Bob may have been there when JJ got canned, it wasn't he who did it. It was the d...

True, Joe started out as a colorist, but his 1st published artwork was the pin-up above from Captain N #3, which came out in 1990. The pic is a "Must-Have" from the Quesada Checklist published in Wizard a couple of years ago.

Quesada -- The Big Cheese

I find it amusing that no matter how big Joe Q. gets, he always has Jim Shooter & Valiant to thank for his start. Hard to believe that someone as talented as Joe did his 1st published artwork in "Captain N"!!

Re: Shadowman Death (spoilers)

So I picked up my copy of Shadowman 43 and I was excited to see how the last issue would pan out. I was somewhat dissapointed in the way they left it. We all know he dies in 1999 but we also see him jumping off the building. So whats the deal? Is it just left to our imaginations or what? Bob Hall s...

Technically the Mag #0 VcVVSS was more than just another signed book. The limited series was from created from a stash of what would be considered 'file copies' from the EIC of Valiant. Arch's Solar #1 is a great follow-up, but not the same.
