Re: Anyone read this in a recent Jim Shooter blog post?

I find it ironic that the guy who is famous for getting into the comics industry at age 13 and becoming successful is calling two guys trying to become successful in the comics industry more than twice that age "children".
At less than half their age, Shooter had a heck of a lot more books under ...

Re: Anyone read this in a recent Jim Shooter blog post?

I don't think the point is whether you think Shooter and Layton have done anything good lately, it's how they say VEI treated them. We've all waited a long time to get new Valiant books. Now that 2012 looks like it'll be the year, if you can turn a blind eye to how VEI has allegedly mistreated some ...

This is disappointing news. Because I pre-order and because of the delays, I've been behind on the reading, but I was hoping the best for the line.

Is Solar #10 going to be the last book?

Has anyone else received their Dark-Key FCBD project book? Now that the line is cancelled, my excitement for ...

My DCBS order arrived today. I received my Mighty Samson variant cover, but the signed covers show they're still being processed. I just wanted to make sure this is the same for others and there's no cause for concern. :?

The price increase was from $3.50 with 40 pages to $3.99 with the same number of pages, right? I hope the extra 49 cents (or less, if you're using a pre-order service like DCBS) isn't going to break the bank for anyone who's currently enjoying this series.

Cover is okay. I'm really looking forward to reading it though.

Also, why isn't Dark Horse releasing their advance solicitations through the normal channels this month?

I can't help notice that 'Tanek Nuro' unscrambles into "Turok Anne". :P
Turok Anne? Is Shooter making Andar into a female? :hm: :D
You couldn't help but notice that?!
Maybe Anne's his mother. Stone usually takes all the credit.

Hmm, I had been wondering what the ratio was to regular covers vs. variants.

If you're worried about not getting one, Lone Star Comics has the Reinhold cover in stock:

Apparently, new books are much closer than any of us thought.

People that I believe are good judges of character seem to believe that at least, so I'm pretty hopeful.

I thought I'd have something in hand last year, so there's a reason I sound skeptical. If they get books out I hope they do well ...

RE: Will VEI be competitive?

Excluding hardcovers collecting previously-published material and "sneak peaks," VEI is about as competitive at publishing new comics as VIP. I think determining cover prices at this point would be putting the cart a little ahead of the horse. :?

At first I really loved the Swanland covers but now they just seem to all look the same to me. I like the eyes in the Jackson cover.

I think the lack of updates is the most frustrating thing. As discouraged as I am by the silence, if books are eventually published, even without the Gold Key characters, I think it would be tough for me to resist at least giving them a shot if reviews are positive.

The best thing I can compare ...

I understand what you are saying we are fans, and we can be annoyingly persistent, but don't you think some of that has to do with the lack of information. I don't think he should get into a flame war here on the boards but just write something up every couple months even if nothing new has ...

4. I'm always happy to see new Shooter books and I hope the line succeeds, but as a collector, I've had other books vying for my attention and I haven't yet bought the multiples that I had hoped to when the line was first announced.

I hadn't been much of a fan of the FCBD interior previews, but the cover has me optimistic again.
