Thanks!

I have a list of all my Valiant's in that handy-dandy spreadsheet Greg provided. I shaded all the ones I have. If anyone wants a look at it, let me know. No reasonable offer refused, although I would prefer to sell them title by title or run instead of issue-by-issue.

For now, though, the ...

Hospital bills from birth of new baby... liquidating comics!

OK, in the next few days, I will place some 650 comics for sale on eBay. Right now, there are 20 auctions up there with some excellent picks for VERY cheap.

While I haven't gotten around to cataloging my Valiant comics, you'll find the majority of these books to be great buys. E-mail me via the ...

Gearing up to sell...

Well, baby is finally here and we're running short on space. The little bundle of joy isn't so big herself, but all the diapers, toys, furniture and other miscellaneous baby-related items sure take up a lot of room!

In the next week or so I will be putting ALL of my comics up for sale on eBay ...

Let's ask Tony Stark where he thinks it should be.

Hey Tony! Where should we categorize the X-O Manowar/Iron Man cross-over?

What's that?

No, I don't want you to count all my jelly beans in the candy jar.

Tony, leave your pants on.

No, I don't think she's hot... she's my sister.

I sold a Lord of the Rings glass goblet (the Burger King ones) on eBay a while back and shipped it very securely in its original packaging but wrapped in butcher paper. The guy left me neutral feedback stating he "wished it would have been packaged better". WTF? If it gets there in 1 piece and it ...

Ebay should remove any negative feedback that was left as a form of "revenge" for your feedback. For example, a guy failed to pay for an auction stating he didn't want the items after he thought about it. I said he shoulda thought before bidding... TWICE. So I left him negative feedback. He e-mailed ...

Looking for... HARSH REALMS

I'm looking for a set of the Harsh Realm mini-series from Harris. It came out in 1993/94 and I had all the issues (I think there were 5?) but they are missing. I suspect a former roomie who used to like that ridiculous TV show (that was nothing like the comic).

Does anyone have a set they'd be ...

I've been reading the Emma Frost series since it came out and I agree that the stories are pretty solid. It's dropped off a bit, but Emma Frost is going to be a major player in the Marvel U from now on... just look at Astonishing X-Men.

I'd be wary of buying this too, without doing some hands-on work with it. But for that kinda change, you can afford to buy a plane ticket to fly to New York and inspect it personally, maybe as a proviso to completing the purchase. I hope he sold it to the high bidder, even tho it didn't get to the ...

I'm in the market for about 600 bags and boards. Is there any place online where I can get 'em for cheap even after postage?

Being a former comic shop owner, let me arm you with a little info.

I can say that I paid maybe $18 AT MOST per 1000 bags and even less for boards and they were Ultra-Pro ...

And....your point? The analogy was poor. Newsstand and direct books aren't printed at different places, which would make the analogy accurate. A better analogy would be 'A Nissan Sentra with a 13" wiper blade, or a 13.5" wiper blade.'

You're right. My analogy was poor. I just wasn't thinking ...

newsstand variants broken out only if there is a cover price differential. Those are recognized in Overstreet e.g., Marvel 30 and 35 cent variants are listed separately from their 25 and 30 cent counterparts.

Agreed. In that case, there IS a difference and that issue would be considered a ...

If the difference is not important to YOU, hey, that's cool, that's your thing...but they do indeed have a legitimate difference, and a significant one at that, and some collectors make it a point to only buy one or the other (mainly focusing on the direct editions.)

I like the existing checklist. As I add books to my collection, I highlight them in the Excel spreadsheet so I know what I've got.

I think for the die-hard completists, the glossy-page books should be added, as they are a type of "decided variant" and it should be determined which is more valuable ...
