I see nothing wrong trying to make some money along the way. If I see an opportunity to flip a book and make a good amount of $$ knowing that I can always get back the same book for a lower price, heck I'll do it on the instant. Collecting comics isn't cheap and it'll certainly help with the extra m...

Is that Ghost Rider #1 really worth much nowadays? I've found a bunch of them in 50 cent boxes, so I figured they weren't anything to get too excited about. I know there's supposed to be a Ghost Rider movie coming, but I figured all the comic book hype for that one were directed at the Marvel Spotl...

Heh, that thought did cross my mind, but that long turnaround time is a major turn off. If I submit it now, I'll prolly won't get it back til next year. Maybe I'll see if CGC will be present in any conventions nearby the NYC area. Otherwise I'll have to think about it, but I do really want them to s...

Congrats! I'm glad things worked out for you after we discussed this deal in chat. You did your homework and got an A+! :thumb: :applause: Thanks :D Well remember that we also discussed that these books can be used for a future project. Who knows, it could happen. Including the XO'1s from my person...

Works out for me...I managed to snag one at a descent price.

As long as they sell for this range, I don't mind snagging a few more. :P

Post Labor Day huge Pre-unity haul

Just wanted to share this moment with you all. I was waiting for a few ebay auctions and private transactions to arrive since last week. Of course I was disappointed since none arrived, but it all changed when I got home from work yesterday. Three large boxes were waiting at my doorstep. I don't kno...

Doesn't this kind of crap remind you all of the last time comic dealers tried to get greedy, meaning early 90's? I know print runs aren't as high as they were back then, but the feeling of greed, selling new books at more than cover price, multiple variant covers, it all looks too familiar. Comic s...

Hmm, after looking through all of his auctions, it seems that Aug does have alot to do with the high prices. He places a real high bid and someone else manages to outsnipe him. I think snakeman should be real happy with how much $$ he's getting for his valiant books. :thumb:

Is it me or are there new people jumping into the Valiant books. Usually I always see the same few people bidding. Looking at the bid history, there seems quite a few new names. There's also nkthegreat that's been placing really high bids. Take a look at this auction... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayIS...

GRRR...I AM *SQUEE*!!

Sorry need to vent off some steam. I don't know if this have happened to anyone before. Like everyone else I ususally snipe at an ebay auction right before it ends. Usually I don't have problems with it and especially today pages ususally refresh pretty quickly. Just as I put in my bid in and clicke...

Where is the Shadowman movement comming from? Is there a Shadowman web site or something? I have'nt seen too much talk about it here. Boda Well most of the hype around here has been centered around Shadowman #2 Variant. Yet the only other reason why the other Shadowman Vol 3 is popular is due to th...

Pretty much what Daniel said. Shadowman Vol 3 variants were snapped up the instant I put them for sale. Also the Vol 2 #16 Glow in the dark was sold instantly. Other then those, Vol 2 stuff have been laxing and Vol 3 are in demand.

Flinx, why don't you post a list of books you're looking for? I'm sure there are members here that won't mind shipping them to Austrailia if you pay the postage fees.

I think that the cgc VcVSS book is doable if you can find the right people at the right show. You might not be able to get 2-3 signatures on each book, but you could get one good one. Also any thoughts on get 1 signture on the book then having it graded and then getting others to sign the slab if m...

Actually a CGC signature series for the next V.C.V.S.S. is not a bad idea. I mean if anyone can pull it off, please do it. Only thing I am worry will be the final cost. Looks like it'll be an expensive book. CKB, if you're gonna do it, make sure you pick a really nice pre-unity book. :thumb:

Thats gonna be my first Bloodshot 51 :D I also won one the other day on ebay so I'm gonna have two. I've got like 5 harby 41's but the cover is a bit clustered for a VcVSS. do you mean xo 1 and solar 10 vcvss projects? Yup, I've been hoarding copies of XO 1 and Solar 10 first printing lately. I would be down for a final issue V.C.V.S.S. as well. Bloodshot 51 shouldn't be too hard as I think pretty much everybody here has at least one copy. I got a few myself and got one copy shipping out to you Dino. :P If not that, then there's always Harby 41 which isn't too hard to gather. I think out...

Heh interesting, that's exactly what I mentioned to Greg last time in the chat room. Think VC.com can afford the valiant properties if they ever auction it off? I got plenty of ideas for writing some X-O stories and we could always have Shooter guide us. Doesn't hurt for some wishful thinking. :thumb:
