I think Timewalker is one of my least favorite Valiant concepts.

Re: East of West Thread---WOW!!

Again, I'm not saying that I don't like it. I do like it. I just keep expecting to be blown away. You saying that those two pages are that good set the bar for me, mentally; and I'm hoping that I enjoy it to that same extent.

I might be broken. I understand that. lol

Re: East of West Thread---WOW!!

I'm trying to figure out what keeps me from being thrilled about this series. It could be that I just haven't read enough of it yet, but I pretty much raced out to get it, knowing I was going to love it. I'm trying to work it through in my brain, and I might just be over-thinking it, but I think it'...

Re: RAI #1 WORDED preview

I was thinking of Ernie Colon's Magnus issues as well.

It was a little clunky at the beginning, but I think they are building on the anticipation the fans have for this title and using it within the story.

I like it, but I'm not blown away, yet.

Greg, you crack me up. I find it hilarious to see you like this, because there have been SO many opportunities over the years to really go off [on people, products, companies] and you have, for the most part, been a model of restraint. To see you this fired up really speaks volumes. Guys, I think he...

Re: East of West Thread---WOW!!

Well, I love the art. It is done in a very sensual style that I think fits with the series quite nicely.

I am going to read it again to see if I enjoy it more. Like I said, I liked it, but I was expecting to like it even more based on picking up other things the same group of you recommended.

Re: Your favorite 1990s breakthrough artist

I loathed Kelly Jones' Batman. If it hadn't been for Knightfall I would have stopped buying Batman because of the bad covers. Batman's ears don't need to be four feet long.

Re: Your greatest comic book disappointments

I liked the style of the Spirit and appreciated what he was trying to do. Not sure I'd refer to it as a disappointment, personally, but it could have been far better.

The Dark Knight Strikes Again has to be worse, doesn't it?

What about those Spawn crossovers?

Re: Your greatest comic book disappointments

Oooooohhhhhh how about this? The Batman Spawn crossover with McFarlane and Miller? I was so excited about that book [those books] coming out. I knew they were going to be the best thing ever. It was the first book that I bought because of the hype and was left scratching my head. Also, Dark Knight R...

So, no special comic to commemorate the event? :D

Did the message board really not start until 2002?

This is my favorite and only hangout on the web.

Thanks, Greg.

I was a big Duranie myself, but that was the last album I bought when it first came out. I was not all that impressed with what they did on the album or afterward. Roger and Andy had more of an impact than I had realized.

I'm not, because I have no interest in the Silver Surfer. I know my posts have very little relevance 99% of the time, but (seriously) why even bother to make this post? The Noto is clearly interested in it, and is trying to find out if anyone else would like to talk about it. Because I can. Insert ...
