Re: Jim Shooter?

Does anybody know what Jim Shooter is doing these days? Any chance of him trying a new (or old) comic company again? I would love to see him return. His stuff was the best IMHO :thumb:

Jim was interviewed on ComicZone radio by Vincent Zurzolo of Metropolis Collectibles a couple of years ago. Jim ...

You'd probably do pretty well. A lot of kids who are in college these days do not take it seriously. Older students who go back to college after several years of life experience usually wind up greatly outperforming younger ones who go straight out of high school.

Bono you know about this firat ...

I remember THAT day fairly good, some of the "other" days seem to be lost in a fog, or something.

All I can say is the Bono is the old school VALIANT pimp!

He all the books, from the begining.

Bono we gotta hook up, maybe get the old crew together, I can get a hold of McBride and Damian, but ...

Re: I finally jumped in!

What's up, Christian? I still remember introducing you guys to Valiants for the first time, right around the time that Unity #0 came out. Between Valiants and D&D Sundays, it was a great time. I remember that time that Gary McBride's friend Paul (who worked for Valiant) showed up at the local ...

Not that this would ever happen, but I would like to see a re-launch with Jim Shooter doing a semi-reboot. I would not throw all continuity out the window, but would rather have Shooter treat past Gold Key/Valiant history the same way he treated the Gold Key history the first time he started the ...

Holy crap it broke $200!

To be honest with you Dino, I'm shocked that the first one sold for only $182.50. With a run limited to only 40 copies, and the books being Bob Layton File Copies no less, this book should be selling for a lot more than that IMO. But like I said, the book will sell for ...

By the way, Dino -- any word on the Solar #1 VcVSS? I'd be more interested in that one than the Magnus #0. I like Bob Layton just fine, but Jim Shooter and BWS are and always have been the "magic" in Valiant for me.

Magnus #0 VcVSS Bob Layton File Copy

dino wrote:Whats the reserve?
I think I set it at $150 -- less than the last one sold for. Just wanted to make sure the book didn't sell for a pittance. Looks like it's got a lot of early action thanks to you and a couple of the other guys. :thumb:

Hi Guys:

Don't know if you saw or heard about this, but Vincent Zurzolo of Metropolis Collectibles had Jim Shooter on the Comic Zone radio show last Monday (as a last-minute replacement for Gene Colan). It is an excellent interview focusing on Jim's pre-Valiant career at DC and Marvel. Part II of ...

They are phone interviews, so no one would be anywhere at the same time. The interviewees wouldn't even interact unless they wanted to.

Just going by hearsay and interviews, so I'm not sure how accurate they may be, but I doubt Jim would do an interview with Barry and Bob there. Jim and Janet ...
