There was a photo of the original (green sleeved) team on one of the bulletin board pages, I forget which month. They had a two game series against Wizard. There were two caps that I know of. The first was very early it was a red cap with the Valiant logo on it and the back was one piece elastic (in...

You know... after the time frame passes, there's only a 0% chance that it happened or a 100% chance.

Sorry if that was misleading. He was certainly out of the building before September 1992.
The settlement of money/stocks etc seems to have taken at least 8 months to finalize.

Why does the abundance of lawsuits in comics and in connection to Valiant in particular, remind me of the song "Signs", by the Five Man Electrical Band? I don't know that Valiant had a disproportionate amount of lawsuits. I mean really, where there's money there are petty, frivolous lawsu...

Alright, this is basically my final post to this thread. Firstly, if anybody at the New York Comicon saw a guy in a goatee, a black overcoat and a Deathmate Tour T-Shirt... that was me. I did have the aforementioned Acclaim-Paramount proposal, which when I showed to Bob Layton, his gut reaction was ...

New York Comic Con?

Anyone going to the NY Comic Con? I'll to be there Sunday, and I'll have the "Acclaim & Paramount" proposal with me. (I plan to ask Bob Layton if he has any recollection of the attempted deal.) Anyone who is going will recognize me immediately. I'll be the only one who would dare to we...

I hope you got an A. They never offered a "The Effects of Capitalism on Art" class at my school, it sounds mighty specific.
You'd think that comic books would be a ripe subject for such a class, seeing as it is one of America's four original art forms.

The risk factor: As a note, this piece is not quite as intriguing as I intended because I can't seem to find in the documents the Acclaim historical financial documents I thought I saw previously. Suffice it to say that although the Acclaim net income was about 3-5 times that of Voyager, both compan...

Slym- The first contract is the original formulation of the company with the intent of purchasing Marvel. Wow, I had no idea that was ever an intent... Shooter tried it before the Valiant start up and got shot down...apparently he always had it somewhere in mind... Sometimes I forget what qualifies...

Let's pretend that I have no idea what the significance of the April 20, 1993 date is... remember, we're only pretending though. :P Obviously, it was the date that there was closing on a settlement between Shooter and Voyager. Whether it's so late because litigation just took that long or there wer...

Alright, some interesting back and forth on that one, but I warn you the next one should have been saved for a grand finale, but here it is: I've already mentioned that in the document is a list of contracts, consents and terminated contracts. And I've also mentioned that this document can be viewed...

Turns out I only have 4 or 5 of these, I expect I'll put one (maybe two) up for auction (whether on the boards or on eBay). Just so everyone knows the condition- these were in [shopping] bags with tons of other things. They aren't creased in any wrong way, but there is a significant curvature of one...

I certainly know of people who use comics to sell ideas. I have a friend who does comics alerting kids to recognizing their own medical emergencies. She makes a couple hundred dollars on a three panel piece. I'm sure these sorts of things are so common we don't even realize them as comic panels when...

I agree with most of you one the placement of this stuff as Nintendo period, maybe the overlapping period when Magnus 1 had just come out. My guess is that this was supposed to run alongside Nintendo as the "money maker" to get them off the ground. (Nintendo wasn't supposed to tank. It mad...

Found the "Acquisition Agreement"

Hey Guys, I was in my parents house looking for an old pair of glasses and I found a paper shopping bag filled items of interest to members of this board. One big find was the >400 page "Acquisition Agreement" (also referred to on the document as a merger) of Voyager (the Valiant parent co...
