The Valiant Comics Scanning Project: ALMOST COMPLETE!

w00t!

I found several people who were interested in finishing the work which so many of us had started. And it looks like we are FINALLY nearing completion. Soon there will be a full run of the pre-Acclaim Valiant issues scanned and available in CDisplay format. Are these scanned at high enough ...

The Valiant Scanning Project: Missing Issues [Update Two!]

As best I can determine, the following is the comprehensive list of the missing issues. Please note: I have included some Acclaim issues, even though I will be archiving them separately.

Bloodshot 25-35, 38-40, 42-48, 50, 51, & Last Stand
Deathmate Blue, Yellow, Red
Eternal Warrior 35, 38, 39, 41 ...

That's cool man. All I need are the scanned pages. I can repair the archives myself as long as I have the pages. Just makes sure you scan at the same resolution that the original scan is at, otherwise there may ...

ATTENTION: All who have been downloading scans from me...

...someone messaged me a while back advising that a few of the Harbinger scans were corrupt and that they were going to upload "fixed" versions. But I deleted that PM in error and can't remember who it was.

Will the real "Harbinger fixer upper" please stand up? Please reply here or message ...

That raises a few questions for me Greg.

Which variant issues are the rarest? Gold? Silver? Pink?

How many TPB's were published. Variants?

Is the Solar hardback edition of Alpha/Omega the only hardback which Valiant published?

Is anyone at all interested in helping us complete the scan collection by providing fills for any of the missing issues? If not, then I am going assume there is no further interest and let this thread die after this post.

Ok. Here's where we are with scans at this time.

I'm going to focus this stage of the project on putting together full runs of the pre-Acclaim titles. Once we have finished with those, then we can turn our attention to the Acclaim runs.

The titles we really need help with are...

While I do like the scanned books concept, I have a bad feeling on this one. MAD magazine was the first one to do this for more profit and I bought into it. Like $50 for the whole run on CD. Can't beat it. Well except for free! Can you say Comicnabster! Yep, I need to create a site.

And the very ...

That's not legal... it's just a question of IF and WHEN Marvel will do something about it.

Greg is right. The ethics of scanning books and making those scans available to others (I'm referring here ONLY to out-of-print books) can and will be debated. After all, they ARE only scans and not the ...
