Someone got a deal:

How weird that book would be sold by a clothing reseller (charity donations?) who had no idea what it was.

Re: Rai #4 (2019) Discussion

Good review - I agree with your points. The appearance of age based on connectedness to the Earth is possibly a good explanation, particularly if really old Gilad was looking so old because the Geomancer was trapped in orbit.

Re: MEGALITH

Sure hope it's not a problem, but are you aware that Continuity comics has used this title? Apart from that, I sure agree with everyone that this is a great cover. /Magnus Yes, but it's probably past trademark protection now, unless Adams is trying to sell collections. But as I remember it, there i...

Welcome to the board!

I've added "WTB" (Want to buy) to your topic title since we most often get sellers in this category. Hopefully, you get an offer or two from some of the board members who have a copy available.

Re: Bad Idea Promises to Change the Comic Book Industry Status Quo

The only aspect of this I don't like it the strict one per customer rule. I like to have 3 copies, one to read, one to sign, and if I'm lucky, one to slab. But I'm probably in the minority here. There will be no limits on Ebay. I also doubt if three different stores would be able to know you ordere...

Re: Is Bad Idea Planning A New Comics Industry Shake-Up?

Announcement today completely negated any excitement I had for Bad Idea. Basically the only way I’ll be reading these books is via illegal torrent. 20 retailers, no trades, no digital. I have a feeling many on here will feel the same way. There will be options It's almost like Bad Idea is aware tha...

MEGALITH is not the original title.

It was going to be called "Stonehenge Schmonehenge".

Greg - at least now I know where I’ll need to start. Let the really long term negotiations begin!
You're about 15 years behind some of the suitors, but I'm betting you might catch up... someday.

Re: 1993 Valiant Index Heroes and Villains Roster

The VEI Livewire uses the name of the VH1 Livewire and the VEI version is loosely based on - maybe inspired by? - the VH1 version. Beyond that starting place, Dysart really made the VEI version his own. I still think the VEI Livewire is the 1990s name (Amanda McKee - Livewire) combined with 1990s R...

Re: Theories wanted: Shadowman: Armor Hunters

What would have been going on if this book had been written? I have a personal theory. The VH1 Shadowman/XO crossover established that Shanhara was very .... allergic ...to necromantic energy. It was a disabling weakness. My fan theory is that without knowing what to call it, the spears used by Pri...

Re: Have comics to sell....

Odds are about 30,000-to-1 that a copy of Bloodshot #0 is Platinum, but you never know. The quick answer is that if the cover price is $3.50, the book isn't special. It might be a random error, but it's not a Platinum or Gold one.

Valiant for beginners... one word groups

Another way to help beginners in Valiant collecting, keeping it simple and easy-to-learn. Using two year groupings: Valiant 1991-92 = Quality Valiant 1993-94 = Quantity Valiant 1995-96 = Quitting Acclaim 1997-1998 = Unvaliant Acclaim 1999-2000 = Unavailable Then for the current books... Valiant 2012...

Re: In my head, I always compare Magnus with TV Smallville C

Well, I can comment, but probably not what you're looking for.

Magnus never reminded me of Smallville, or vice versa.

Now that you mention it, "Leeja" and "Lana" are kinda similar names.

But that's all I got. :)
