Re: Airboy - Eclipse Comics

After reading the recent 4 issue Airboy mini from Image and a handful of the Hillman Golden Age stuff I have started collecting the Eclipse run. Got about 20 issues so far. With the Dave Stevens cover being my cheapest and best find. That 1980's run is such a fantastic read, with many intere...

Re: Quick reference for Valiant first appearances

I need to go back and read all of X-O Manowar #19.

COMICVINE: Dr. Plillip Zahn

Comicvine has this book listed as DR Zahn's 1st appearance, who was the creator of the Armorines armor.

Re: Quick reference for Valiant first appearances

Where does the Armorines show up in XO #19. I just looked through my copy and could not see it. :insane: Uh-oh. Shadowman Vol. 1 #16 (1st Doctor Mirage) - I always enjoyed that short series. X-O Manowar Vol. 1 #25 (1st Armorines) Bloodshot Vol. 1 #7 (1st Ninjak in costume) I hope all these characte...

Re: Quick reference for Valiant first appearances

Although not a key set of characters, I still enjoyed the stories as they developed over time to counter any super being that otherwise couldn't be taken out by traditional means.

Re: StarBrand Poll: What 90's companies did you like most?

I wonder if Marvel bought Crossgen and Ultraverse primarily to keep them out of enemy hands. Which begs the question...why didn't either DC or Marvel snatch up Valiant when Acclaim went kaput? Because both companies weren't in a position to buy anything. I think Marvel had just came out or was stil...

Re: StarBrand Poll: What 90's companies did you like most?

1) Defiant and Broadway IMHO had the most original ideas (and as far as I'm concerned they could easily be merged into one universe with next to little problems). I still think you could revive them today and carry on from where the original series left off. 2) Ultraverse was the most fun and had s...

Re: StarBrand Poll: What 90's companies did you like most?

There was a fellow on the CGC board last year tearing into the Valiant award results from one of the comic tracking sites, stating people on here skewed the results by shilling the poll.

Gotta love sour grapes.

Re: Any board members here collect / invest in LEGOs?

I just went to a conference with a co-worker that heavily collects Legos. He has over 250 kits based on Star Wars, J.R.R. Tolkien books, Lone Ranger (especially because of the Constitution train set and stagecoach), and all of the Lego Movie sets. He was sharing pictures of his sets in this 10' X 10...
