Re: Happy Holidays from VALIANT

This image makes me want to see an A&A/Q&W crossover *so* bad.

Re: DreamWorks Animation buys Classic Media for $155 million

I'd rather see Lotor vs. Rai, and Magnus against a RoBeast.

Now that I think about, the Voltron Force reboot included something called Volcomms, which produced energy weapons a la Rai... Hmm...

Re: Looks like Shadowman - Teaser image inside

At first, I hated the image. Then when I saw it in higher detail, I noticed that what looked like facepaint was an update on the classic mask.

Suddenly, with the mask involved, this has a lot more intrigue for me. I'd love it if being Shadowman were a curse...

Rats - looks like I duplicated the topic - I even looked first, but still missed this. :| Anyway, here's a slightly different link, so as to consolidate the topics: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2012-07-24/dreamworks-animation-to-acquire-classic-media-studio" onclick="window.open(th...

Re: Operation Big Push 2011 Special Gift Toy Drive

Yes, we are at $1000 plus auction totals! Add this in to my personal contribution and we're cooking with gas! One of the plans for this year was to grab the Kinect to go with the XBox 360 we purchased for them a few years back, along with a game or two. I can hardly wait to put together the delivery...

Mission Success!

(In other words, you guys just cost Knightt $500 - not counting the auction totals yet, either! AMAZING!)

That said, don't forget that this offer is still in play: Donor Raffle

Actually, I'm really digging the new X-O design thus far. Very organic, very Evangelion (and I meant that in a good way) while still keeping the core elements.

Kevin, that's actually part of every year's ritual. We set up all the toys, snap a "posed shot" - then take various pictures as we deliver them as well. :thumb:

I'll be posting this year's shots the week of/week after delivery.

Re: OUR Questions for Valiant's Warren Simons - WARREN ANSWE

How very, very true. I loved the original universe. I was 50/50 on the second universe. What little I've seen here, though, looks like it's going to be spectacular. I would do illegal things to acquire another Bob Hall run on Shadowman - but I also have to recognize that there are other artists and ...

I'm considering starting work on 2012's donation page *now* in order to get it done in time. :) In the meantime, I can accept Paypal at ric@ricbyrne.com. Please label your donation as being for th...

Re: 2011 Special Gift Toy Drive

Not sure if I am just not reading it right or my brain is not functioning in the morning. "Can we donate used video games ?" I have quite a few that I am fininshed with or know that I will not get back to. I have nice looking discs, the manual, and the box for all my games, many in fairly...

I am in, please let me know how (or heck post it if you can) to sending money. That's not a bad idea. I'll work up a donation page this weekend. If we donate games, is there an ESRB rating to avoid such as Mature ? Plenty of first person shooters are in the Mature realm but I think it goes without ...

Re: 2011 Special Gift Toy Drive

I am in. Would they be interested in Watchmen figs? LCS has about a dozen more still available, if so. Our department does a general toy drive for Toys for Tots - but I'll submit here, too. Just let me know. My daughter just volunteered for the local Toys For Tots here - she is so excited about it....

2011 Special Gift Toy Drive

For those of you who are new to the board, or just need a reminder, I have a very personal reason as to why I perform the Special Gift Toy Drive every year for the Shriners Burns Institute Hospitals. Previously, we have done AMAZING things for the children. The astonishing acts that we perform here ...

Re: Random Valiant Finds at Dollar Tree?!

I rarely have any luck with good finds at places like that. I just don't frequent them enough. Example: When Monster stupidly cancelled the "Chai Hai" drink (it was AWESOME), they sent all their overstock to Big Lots. Except, it seems, every Big Lots within 100 miles of me. I saw tons of p...

I only used to go to places like that right before a hardcore match.

It was pretty amazing what you could find on the cheap that could be turned into awesome improvised weaponry.
